Do Traditionalists of Sunni Islam believe that women are suited for carrying and lifting stuff while men are suited for walking and running?
I feel like I've seen men being allowed to ride on camels, bikes etc but women are restricted from doing it. Also, I feel like women are allowed to carry items like food, babies, or medical items. I also feel like women used to carry injured soldiers physically. As a man, this feels very out of place for something like men and out of place for women. I'd like to know if I have observed correctly and if Imams like Imam Ahmed and Shafi made the same verdicts. I know I am being a little specific but I just feel like maybe I am right.

Recently I have been wondering regarding something that I've been hearing since childhood. when we stand in the congregation for the obligatory prayer making the lines, the imam says in arabic a few phrases. i can make out that what he says is to make the lines in accordance with the sunnah (*our mother tongue is not arabic*) my question is that is it a must to say that in arabic everytime before we start the prayer?, or is it sunnah?, or are they doing it just to remind us to make the lines straight as its kind of like the responsibility of the imam.

First of all, I would like to thank in advance for answering in the most kindest way. And i apologize for making my questions so big. Just wanted to let you know where i'm coming from. I have heard that previously during Imam Malik's time, some slave women were walking around or getting out of their homes bare breasted. He had strongly condemned this practice due to his understanding of the Quran/Sunnah as per this narration: > Kitaab Al-Jami‘ of Al-Imam Ibn Abi Zayd Al-Qayrawani Al-Maliki (died > 386 AH): He said, "He (i.e. Al-Imam Malik ibn Anas) strongly > disapproved of the behaviour of the slave women of Madinah in going > out uncovered above the lower garment." He said, "I have spoken to the > Sultan about it, but I have not received a reply." He said, "Beat the > slave women if they do that." I am aware that slave women had a relaxed awrah compared to the free women as per the differing opinions of the various schools of thought due to their work in servile environments and veiling was prohibited as a social status indicator but in case of **fitnah** or **harassment** or **fear of trouble** they are supposed to cover themselves up as free women have to do. I am also aware that in some point in history, there were practices of slave women being **paraded bare breasted** for attracting the highest bidders or buyers. Also I understand that a seller can adorn their slave women for attracting buyers similar to how a woman is adorned for marriage. I understand that Islam humanizes slaves by granting them certain rights, emphasizing their emancipation, and encouraging them to be treated like family members—with dignity, kindness, and respect. Based on my understanding of the commentaries from various schools of thought, even during the inspection process in slave markets at the time of the Prophet and his companions, the environment was supposedly controlled, with minimal exposure encouraged unless absolutely necessary, and only with the genuine intention to buy could you look or touch upto some extent (over clothing in Umar R.A's case), touching prohibited in the presence of lust. (please correct me if i'm wrong). **My Question is as follows:** - Was bare chested display for ***auctions*** or ***convenience*** or ***parading*** them bare chested for attracting the highest bidders, is that islamic or buyers islamically sanctioned (haram or halal)? Or was it just a corrupt practice that the masters used to do to exploit their slave women for commercial purposes or personal benefits? If it is halal, why? It spreads fitnah, encourages lustful intentions, objectifies and exploits slave women, public indecency, strips off their dignity, violates modesty rules etc which is quite contrary to inspection which usually happens for practical reasons out of necessity as opposed to lustful intentions. Also please answer this as well if possible Question regarding Slave Women Inspection Limits in the marketplace Thanks!

In Sahih Muslim 2689 , it is mentioned that: > Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying Allah has mobile > (squads) of angels, who have no other work (to attend to but) to > follow the assemblies of Dhikr and when they find such assemblies in > which there is Dhikr (of Allah) they sit in them and some of them > surround the others with their wings till the space between them and > the sky of the world is fully covered, and when they disperse (after > the assembly of Dhikr is adjourned) they go upward to the heaven and > Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, asks them although He is best > informed about them: Where have you come from? They say: We come from > Thine servants upon the earth who had been glorifying Thee (reciting > Subhan Allah), uttering Thine Greatness (saying Allah o-Akbar) and > uttering Thine Oneness (La ilaha ill Allah) and praising Thee > (uttering al-Hamdu Lillah) and begging of Thee. Be would say: What do > they beg of Me? They would say: They beg of Thee the Paradise of > Thine. He (God) would say: Have they seen My Paradise? They said: No, > our Lord. He would say: (What it would be then) if they were to see > Mine Paradise? They (the angels) said: They seek Thine protection. They would say: No. He (the > Lord) would say: What it would be if they were to see My Fire? They > would say: They beg of Thee forgiveness. He would say: I grant pardon > to them, and confer upon them what they ask for and grant them > protection against which they seek protection. They (the angels) would > again say: Our Lord, there is one amongst them such and such simple > servant who happened to pass by (that assembly) and sat there along > with them (who had been participating in that assembly). He (the Lord) > would say: I also grant him pardon, for they are a people the > seat-fellows of whom are in no way unfortunate. The word used here is مَجَالِسَ الذِّكْرِ It is mentioned in Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3510 : > Anas bin Malik [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated that the > Messenger of Allah said: “When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, > them feast.” They said: “And what are the gardens of Paradise?” He > said: “The circles of remembrance.” The word used here is حِلَقُ الذِّكْرِ In al-Mu’jam al-Kabīr 6039 it is mentioned that: > Sahl ibn Hanzalah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and > blessings be upon him, said, “No people sit together to remember Allah > Almighty and stand to leave until a heavenly caller says to them: > Stand and your sins are forgiven by Allah! Your bad deeds have been > replaced with good deeds!” The word used here is مَجْلِسًا يَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ In bangla it is called জিকিরের মজলিস In Is Group Dhikr Permissible? it is said that: > Dhikr in general, if it involves raising the voice and reciting in > unison, is a Bid`ah (innovation) that has been introduced into the > religion and was not the practice of the righteous early generations. My question is, how should we create a مَجَالِسَ الذِّكْرِ * Is it like giving a khutbah, where one person speak and others listen. If so, then what should be the topic of the discussion. * Is it a place where a group of people sit together and say subhanallah, alhamdulillah etc. and an imam coordinate it Please let me know what is a مَجَالِسَ الذِّكْرِ and what to be done there and how? * How do we sit? In circle or facing one direction. * Do we need a coordinator? If so, then what should he (the coordinator) do? Please give us some reference so that we know how to do it and get all these blessings.

Assalamualaikum, I have a question about ruling on masturbation in Islam. I lost my husband 3year and 5 months ago. This is still very painful for me. After losing him, I am having panic attacks sometimes and anxiety problems. One day when I was having panic attack I tried to commit suicide coz it's really hard for me losing him. Lots of things are going in my life. it seems like the darkest time of my life. So in some weak moments when my tensions n worries covers me I do masturbate to control my mind. I do namaz n fast. Ive never been in haram relationship always protect myself as a amanat of my husband. This was my thinking from my childhood. But after losing him life became very hard. To protect myself for falling into something haram, I do masturbation. But I did not make it as habit. I did it then I repent n after months I did it again. Then again I make toba. Was searching some ruling about this but never find anything strong. Can someone show some light of this matter? I do not know what to do?

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, I hope this message finds you well. I have a question that has been deeply troubling me and affecting my faith, and I sincerely seek your guidance and knowledge. I am struggling to understand how Allah, who is Al-Rahman (The Most Merciful), can punish someone for eternity in Hell. If a person lives for a short time in this world — perhaps 70 or 80 years — how can their mistakes, no matter how great, justify an eternal punishment? From my understanding, even if someone fully knows the truth of Islam yet rejects it until death, the concept of eternal punishment feels difficult to reconcile with Allah’s infinite mercy. In my human perspective, I feel that I would never punish someone endlessly for a finite lifetime of mistakes. Of course, I know my understanding is limited, but this creates a deep conflict in my heart. The only reasoning I can think of is that perhaps the soul, even after being in Hell for unimaginable lengths of time, still refuses to accept Allah — but then again, Allah created us and has complete power over our nature. Could He not have created us all to eventually enter Jannah, even if at different levels, so that His perfect justice and perfect mercy are both fulfilled? I ask this question with humility and sincerity, not out of disrespect, but because I genuinely wish to understand and strengthen my iman. I would be deeply grateful for your explanation. JazakAllahu khayran

For the past few days, I have been considering studying Islam in depth. I have a strong desire to become a scholar—such as a Sheikh, Mufti, Maulana, Mu’allim, or Allama—following in the footsteps of renowned scholars like Nasiruddin Albani, Zakir Naik, Taqi Usmani, and Mufti Menk. At 28 years old, I have decided to dedicate the rest of my life to the field of Da’wah, but I want to first acquire proper and authentic knowledge. Being born and raised in a Muslim family, I have a basic understanding of Islam, but I feel that it is not sufficient for effectively spreading the message of Islam. Currently, I have limited knowledge about prominent madrasas and little to no connection with Islamic scholars. Is there a way for me to study Islam on my own, or is formal education in a madrasa necessary to achieve deep Islamic knowledge?

Assalamolaikum, my name is Ibrahim and I just had a quick question so basically for quite a long time I’ve been wearing this Silver Chain with a Palestine Pendant on it. I have been wearing it for months and then one day my uncle he told me there was a Hadith which stated that it was haram to wear a chain then I did further research and found the Hadith and also found an ayah which stated it too, further more I read it all and it said men were not to imitate women and vice versa and the Hadith stated about NECKLACES and bracelets but not CHAINS would a chain be considered a necklace or no? And i also read that a watch would be Permissible because it had a cause and a use, but so does my chain Becuase it shows that I stand with Palestine. So basically that is all I am curious about is it still haram to wear my Silver Chain with a Palestine Pendant. Jazakullah.
