I was wondering if it is permissible to have her in my room just me and her with the door open we just want to talk and play things and there are people around the house. I know of the sunnah that shaatan will be a 3rd but since we are having the door open and people are still around the house is this okay?

How should we divide our worship at night?
If someone was going to spend all night in worship, hoping to obtain Laylatul Qadr, what should he do? Like should he spend all of it praying, or some of it praying, some istighfar, some duas, etc. What is the prescribed "division" for this?

Both is almost same but the difference is one of them has **وَالْحَزَنِ** and other has **وَالْحُزْنِ** is there any big difference in meaning?

Why is life insurance considered as un-Islamic?
I know that no one can give assurance of anything especially life, but I don't think life insurance is about that. It is a way to have something to sustain your family in case you are not there to cater for their needs. So, what's wrong with that?

Here is a source from a islamic website:
http://eshaykh.com/family/can-a-jinn-perform-sex-with-your-wife/
Al-Hakim al-Tirmidhi [in Nawadir al-Usul, Asl 76 and Asl 207] and Ibn Jarir [al-Tabari in his Tafsir (22:248)] narrated that Mujahid said: “When a man has intercourse with his wife and does not name [Allah], the jinn coils around his urethra and has intercourse along with him. That is the meaning of the saying of the Most High: {whom neither man nor jinn has touched before them} (55:56)

"I was a guest (at the home) of 'Umar one night, and in the middle of the night he went and hit his wife, and I separated them. When he went to bed he said to me: 'O Ash'ath, learn from me something that I heard from the Messenger of Allah" A man should not be asked why he beats his wife, and do not go to sleep until you have prayed the Witr."' And I forgot the third thing."
My first question is that if the beating is really supposed to be light and Umar RA hit his wife lighty, then why was there a need for intervention? Second, why shouldn’t a husband be asked why he beats his wife?

Assalam O Alaikum my Brothers and Sisters!
I'm a little bit confused about who bring the Throne of Sheba a human or a jinn?
I have read the Quran verse
27:39 and came to know that a Jinn offered **Prophet Suleman** to bring the throne of Sheba but in the next verse 27:40
**Said one who had knowledge from the Scripture**
Who is he who had the knowledge of the Scripture... Jinn or Human?
In this Youtube Video the guy saying that the Jinn bring that throne but some of my friends are saying that the one who brought the throne was a human being, not a jinn. (Although in the video he doesn't explicitly refer to verse 40 of Surah Naml, and doesn't say it was a jinn that teleported it but only could’ve)
So can anyone help me get out of this confusion?

A couple of years ago I've read an article where the author was saying that some scholars of the late 19th or at the beginning of the 20th century when seeing an automobile gave a fatwa saying that the vehicle we freely use nowadays is the creature from earth دابة الأرض which is mentioned in the Qur'an:
> And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. (27:82 )
I'd like to know if we have further information about this creature -in the ahadith- which may offer a description of this Creature and may or may not lead to the conclusion given by the fatwa mentioned above! It would be nice if you could provide a qualification of the possible sources.

For certain actions, e.g. murder, Sharia may prescribe the death penalty , which is implemented in some Muslim-majority countries. This opens the possibility that an innocent person could be mistakenly executed. This situation could be regarded as murder, and hence might attract the death penalty too.
**Question**: What is the punishment when innocent people are incorrectly executed under Sharia, and who is punished?
It seems possible that there is no punishment, since the hypothetical incorrect execution was a mistake. However, that feels unjust.

If we look at different surahs of the Qur'an we may find them addressing many topics: For example surat al-Kahf we have the stories of the people of the cave, (the people of ar-Raqeem are also quoted and nevertheless this could be considered as one story as this is the majority view: people of ar-Raqeem are the people of al-Kahf -cave- -see fore example islamqa #21817 -others say their mentioning is a reference to a similar story), the story of the two people one of them having two gardens, the story of dhul- Qarnain, the story of Musa and al-Khidr etc. while surat Yusuf covers the whole story of Yusuf from A-Z, but I'd count that as one story.
Basically story as I would defined it is more than a mentioning of some people it should be a story with at least some content expressing what happened to them or what these people say or did.
My question is: Which surah(s) of the quran is/are addressing/covering the most stories of Prophets and other real -historical- persons?
Please consider adding detailed information: Like which stories (a short summary 1-2 lines), in which verses.

Assalamualaikum,
Earlier this year i took part at a project in my school. We had to make a video about a certain profession and the video I made also has background music. Now, months later it turns out I've won the competition and they're giving us money and free practice at a tech company as a reward. However, I've repented for using music on that video since music is prohibited and my question is: Is it haram for me to take those rewards?

The Arabic text is
It is ending with the word **"Amama"** (resembles **"Imam"**) which gives impression that Shia translation is correct.

I feel like philosophy is important to understand the truth to religion or the basis of different religions.
Often when researching one’s own religion there may tend to be a bias towards it I believe especially if it’s something you’ve grown up with/were taught at a young age about.
For example, a Christian may always search X proof of resurrection or miracles of Jesus etc etc but not proof for other religions.
If you are trying to find the one true religion or whether there even is on or even more I feel philosophy is important to understand that.
However, I don’t understand why it’s haram to study philosophy or the philosophy of other religions, my basic understanding is that it may cause someone to lose faith but I feel it’s important for one to understand their religion and not just blindly follow what they were taught from birth.
To put this in to perspective, let’s just say you tell a Christian not to study philosophy and information on other religions and we presuppose Islam is the one true religion. By telling them not to study you are preventing them from following the true religion or learning about the truth of religion and just telling them to blindly follow something just because it may cause them to lose faith in a belief that is already false.
Why is it haram?
