Okay so me and this woman met in college and she’s 3 years older than me. She’s Christian and tho not as practicing, she does believe in one god. She has a daughter from a premarital relationship at a young age and the biological father is out of picture. Is it Halal for me to marry someone like that? I really like her too and I’m planning to marry her in the future if it all works out well but I wanted to know from a religious perspective, the daughter is 5 years old. And if it’s halal, can I get the source and the teachings for this please? I have seen answers saying that her not committing Zina and repenting would be enough but what about the child, she does regret getting physical but she had a daughter from that relationship, would that still be okay? Jazakallah

As-salamu alaykum,
I am curious to know whether the marriage would be valid if the couple were to go off and have their nikkah with an imaam without any approval from parents on both sides.
Back story:
I (female) am not ready to tell my parents about getting married as the person I want to get married too is not stable enough and has only just graduated from university however I do know my parents will give their approval
He knows his parents will not accept the marriage as it will be an interracial marriage therefore wants to make sure he is financially stable and has his own place before telling his parents as he knows they will kick him out.
If we was to get have a nikkah without telling both our families would it be valid and then later on telling our parents and having a wedding to make it “official” to everyone else

The women wear nice dresses (sometimes showing too much skin) and they dance while the loud music is playing. Is this permissible? Should I not dance? Should I not go to these weddings? (even though most or all muslim women only weddings are like this). What about the family hosting the wedding, would they be judged for paying for the singer and the dance floor?

Is it right to exhibit the bride and groom in the event of Walima, where people taking pictures and giving them greetings?
Or isn't it enough that we should only give them food (food of Walima) and meet with them (celebrate) and say goodbye to the guests?

I've been invited to a wedding where I know there will be free mixing, men and women flirty, touching each other, kissing in public, partial nudity, dressed in tight clothing etc. I know they will have music and dancing. The music will have inappropriate words too.
Will I be disobeying Allah and his Prophet's command by not going to such a wedding?

The groom's family later quoted that they wont be performing walima (marriage banquet), as none in their family performed yet, they even said that they won't be contributing financially even in nikah. Even the meher amount they would give is low considering the amount the groom earns.

I know some Muslims who have been invited to one of their evangelical Christian friend's weddings, and there will surely be a lot of singing and worshipping of Jesus Christ as lord and savior. Is it acceptable for a Muslim to attend such a wedding ceremony, and is it acceptable to sing songs that go against the teachings of Islam as a courtesy to Christian friends (or, for that matter, friends of other religions)?
