> “Do you not know what befell a person from amongst Banu Isra'il (the children of Israel)? When urine fell on them, they would cut off the place where the urine fell; but he (that person) forbade them (to do so), and was punished in his grave.”
Can anyone explain this Hadith to me?

Is the alternate version of Tashahhud valid or a Bidah?
But recently, I've found out, there are some Muslims who pray like so: > التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَل...
In Tashahhud, Muslims say:

> عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلنَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
But recently, I've found out, there are some Muslims who pray like so:
> التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ السَّلَامُ عَلَى
> النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Now, I am aware of the saying in which the 2nd supplication is mentioned where a companion is saying (paraphrasing):
> When Prophet was alive, we used to pray the 1st supplication and when
> he died, we changed it to the 2nd supplication.
According to my knowledge, none of the 4 Imams has used the 2nd supplication & it was neither taught by the Prophet himself! Also, I don't think any big scholar like Nawawi, Ibn Hajar etc has allowed the 2nd supplication!
Question:
---
Is there anyone before 18th century who has used the saying of the companion (above) as a Hujja to use 2nd supplication in prayer? Anyone from the Salaf? Or any big scholar? If so, please provide authentic evidence...
Thanks.

In Islam when does a new day start?
When we start a new day, we usually start it at 12am. But what about in Islam? Does a new day start at Maghrib time or Fajr time? Someone told me it is either one of those times. Is this true? What is a new day or next day considered in Islam?

But I woke late for Fajar and then I did not keep my fast.
Is having intention to fast and then not keeping a sin and needs to be compensated in this case of nafil roza.

I noticed that verse 74(Muddassir):5 is translated differently, both into English and other languages. Sahih international version is
> And uncleanliness avoid
while this verse, according to Muhsin Khan, should be
> And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)!
Russian translation at legacy.quran.com also says "idols"
> Идолов сторонись!
I didn't investigate other languages but what is clear is that arabic word "Ar-Rujz" is being translated diffirently: iether it is **"uncleanliness"** or **"idols"**.
**So which one is correct?** (Request for some deeper explanation on this vese)

However, I have read somewhere that an illegitimate child can inherit the wealth of his biological mother. I would like to know what is the basis of this claim? Is there any evidence from the hadith scriptures that suggests that an illegitimate child can inherit wealth of his biological mother? What if such a child is poor and there is no one there to look after him after his or her parents have given birth to hom/her and left such a child without any support?

In Islam, why Rain is considered a mercy from God? There are many Hadith/Ayahs where this is explained:
> And We send down from the sky rain chartered with blessing, and We
> produce therewith gardens and grain for harvests. {**Quran 50:9**}
>
> It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread
> them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you
> see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall
> upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice **{Quran 30:48}**
>
> O Allah! Let it be a strong fruitful rain. **{Bukhari 1032}**
>
> The people came to the Prophet weeping (due to drought). He said
> (making supplication): O Allah! give us rain which will replenish us,
> abundant, fertilising and profitable, not injurious, granting it now
> without delay. He (the narrator) said: Thereupon the sky became
> overcast. **{Abu Dawud 1169}**
>
> We are given rain by Allah’s mercy, Allah’s providence, and Allah’s
> grace. **{Bukhari}**
and so on
Question:
--------
Why "Rain" is considered a mercy from God in Islam, why there are Duas/Ayahs/Hadiths for getting "rain" ?? Remember, places where it is always raining, people will consider a sunny day as a huge blessing, so why there are no Duas/Hadith/Ayahs for sunshine?
As Islam began in a desert in 7th century, they had no clue that there are places on earth where it is always raining (like England)... If they knew, they wouldn't have taken rain as a blessing from God... Just like they didn't take 'Sunshine' as a blessing from God as there are no Ayahs/Hadith/Duaa where a supplication for "sunshine" is being depicted ????
Thanks.

Is it ok to imagine having sex weather it’s your partner or someone random
I don’t see my husband all the time as he travels far for work. Before marriage I would imagine having sex with a random person sometimes with someone I know or just random human I imagine. Sometimes it uncontrollable and I can’t stop. I also imagine that the person I’m having sex with is abusive at times.
Please let me know how I can stop this and why it’s bad to do this.
