Before I start I ask this in no disrespectful way and ask for that in return in your replies :) So this is something that has been bugging me for a while. I am a Christian who struggles with faith from time to time and whenever I come to reading up on Islam more and more the one thing that I can't understand is why Allah made it seem to Christians that Jesus died on the cross. My reasons for this are: In Allah doing this he essentially created the faith and as he is all knowing he would know that millions of people would follow Jesus. Secondly the Quran and Muhammad coming many years after Jesus makes it hard for me to believe that these words are true. As he couldn't have seen it for himself. Also, before anyone mentions anything about the bible being unreliable and corrupted I know from lots of research that the bible through the thousands of copies of the original new testament that it is not changed how many Muslims say it has been. Finally, with my understanding the Quran has several different versions but muslims only believe in one? If I am correct. Thank you for your help

What will be the fate of a person who wore amulets and died without knowledge that its a sin?

A person wore amulets thinking it will protect him from evil eye and jinns etc...He has now passed away. Apparently it comes under minor shirk. The person didn't know he was sinning and he died without repenting without even knowing it was a sin. It is said that all Muslims will eventually go to Jannah ( some after being in hell for some time ). Now my question is- a person who committed minor shirk as stated above- is he a kafir? Shirk is the sin that Allah will not forgive, but this person still believed in Allah- was he a Muslim or Kafir- Is he doomed for eternal hell ? Or will he still be able to enter Jannah?

Are any of the Sahaba considered 'neurodivergent' by modern scholars?

My motivation for this question is to find more example and role models who are similar to me and people I know. I'm interested in the opinion of scholars of Islam only, especially those verses in the relevant sciences, and of a fairly fixed definition of Neurodiversity (although if you come with a suitable counter-definiton, I would be open to listening). Also, I'm only looking for confirmed Sahaba (though not limited to this list ) who are confirmed companions of the Prophet ﷺ. > Neurodiversity or ND, refers to variation in the human brain regarding sociability, learning, attention, mood and other mental functions in a non-pathological sense. > [...] > The neurodiversity paradigm was taken up first by individuals on the autism spectrum. Subsequently, it was applied to other neurodevelopmental conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), developmental speech disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, dysnomia, intellectual disability and Tourette syndrome, as well as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and some mental health conditions such as schizoaffective disorder, antisocial personality disorder, dissociative disorders, and obsessive–compulsive disorder. The concept of neurodiversity rejects the idea that these variations are negatives, or indicate some kind of deficiency in a person. So in no way am I ascribing or assuming the sahaba were in some way deficient. Also, I know of Salman the Persian , credited for the suggestion of digging trenches, in the battle of the trench , but I'm not just looking for novel or ingenious individuals, but ones who modern scholars of islam would consider neurodivergent, either by my definition or another widely accepted definition.

Can you call on and worship Allah without knowing His name?

I've just answered a question, and then posted this comment : >If your asking is Allah the universe then no, Allah is seated upon his throne, i.e. islam does not claim Allah is omnipresent. If you are asking if what they call the 'universe' is actually Allah then...I'm going to say no but it's not as clear cut. *I don't think anyone calling on the 'universe' consciously or subconsciously would 'get' Allah, unless they intended to call on him.* So I'm left wondering (as I am not 100% certain, and at a slight tangent), if you called upon Allah but not by a known name, but in your heart you wanted 'whatever supreme power out there' to respond (even if you called it 'the universe'), would that be considered Taghut? Would that be a valid (if flawed) form of right-worship?

If passive euthanasia is allowed, is suicide by starving also allowed in Islam?
Both have same premise which is not giving our own body what it needs. In passive euthanasia, medicine and treatment. In suicide by starving it is food.

Is there any basis for the saying that 'Zamzam well will never dry out'?
I have seen many claims about how the Zamzam well will never dry out. But, is there any backup for this from the Qur'an and Sunnah, implicit or explicit?

I am asking this because the practice of burying the dead in dedicated 25 sq ft of space, with the growing world population, yet ever more scarce arable land, seems like a wasteful practice, to say the least.

Ruling on keeping the father's name in Islam
Quran says: *“Call them by their fathers’ (names), it is more just with Allaah” [33:5]* Muhammad (pbuh) said: *“Whoever ascribes himself to someone other than his (real) father, knowing that he is not his (real) father, Paradise is forbidden for him!” [al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]* From these, it's pret...
Quran says: *“Call them by their fathers’ (names), it is more just with Allaah” [33:5]* Muhammad (pbuh) said: *“Whoever ascribes himself to someone other than his (real) father, knowing that he is not his (real) father, Paradise is forbidden for him!” [al-Bukhaaree and Muslim]* From these, it's pretty clear that not keeping the family name is a major sin in Islam. However, what if someone changed his family name to his first name or middle name? Is that haram as well? For example: Abdullah Sulayman changes his name to Abdullah Sulayman Latif. Technically, he hasn't removed his father's name (Sulayman) from his name but he has changed his surname to Latif. Is this haram? He's not breaking any rules from the Quran or the hadith. His father's name is still there. Another example: Fatima Ali marries a Abdullah Latif and she changes her name to Fatima Ali Latif. Is this permissible? Because technically, her father's name is still there.
