Does it mean that God created the sky, moon, sun... etc. because he loves the Five?

When I am unable to pray in jamaat, I sometimes find myself [stimming](https://www.verywellhealth.com/adhd-stimming-5208900) to help me focus. I wasn't clear from this [islam.qa question](https://islamqa.info/en/answers/12683/moving-whilst-praying) where my stimming fell in the categories? > 1-Obligatory movements > > 2-Forbidden movements > > 3-Makrooh movements > > 4-Mustahabb movements > > 5-Permissible movements If the stimming helps me focus, does it fit this or not: > The forbidden movements are continuous movements done for no reason, because this kind of movement invalidates the prayer, and whatever invalidates the prayer is not permissible, because it is like mocking the signs of Allaah. I feel like the stimming does have a purpose, as it increases my focus and kushoor. However, externally it look as though it's simply 'continuous movements', which is filling me with self doubt (that is I'm not concerned how I look to people. But being honest with myself). Is there a way of knowing?

I am a Muslim revert. My mother is not Muslim. I want to change my name. I already have it picked out, and I love it. I started using it with some of my friends and business associates. But I wanted to tell my mother about it so I can change it on FB without shocking her, and then eventually I want to change it legally as well. I know it is not required, but this is something I want to do for myself. I've always hated my birth name, and she knows this. I used to tell her when I was a child that I was going to change my name when I turned 18. I never went through with it, but she knows my feelings. However, much to my surprise, she was totally against me changing my name. The name I want to take is Abdullah. She said she feels “very uncomfortable” with it. She herself brought it up again after almost a week of the first conversation, and reiterated she felt “very uncomfortable” with it, and would always feel uncomfortable. So what are my options? I'm 27 years old, married, and living far away from her. Is it disobeying her to change my name anyway? I don't care honestly what she herself calls me, or anyone else in my family. I just want to change it for myself, and for my interactions with other people.

I am from a culture where people say they follow Islam, but they keep saying strange things to me which don't seem to fit in with what I am reading in the Quran. For example, one of the things people in this culture say is, if someone has a child with a disability, that child has a disability because the parents have sinned, and that disability in that child will be a punishment for the parents for the sin which they have committed in the past. I then point the following verse out to the people who have such beliefs: http://quran.com/6/164 > Say, "Is it other than Allah I should desire as a lord while He is the > Lord of all things? And every soul earns not [blame] except against > itself, and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then > to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you concerning that > over which you used to differ." They then say to me "don't be stupid", you don't understand. So am I the one who is right or are they right? i.e. do children have to suffer because of a disability, inorder to punish parents for a sin they may have committed in the past?

The problem is my parents do not want to send me as it is in another state and I might not get a good enough job according to what I have studied (as it is a rural area so to speak as I live in the capital city). And as I'm the only daughter they are a little more protective. I have no objection in going. Will it be wrong for me to go even if my parents don't like it?

I have heard that according to Islam we should kiss the hands of our parents to show respect. Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) used to kiss the Prophet (SAW) hands and give up her space for him to sit whenever he visited her. However some people say that a younger person should kiss any older person's hand while some say it is haram unless the two people are mahram to each other and others say this ritual is only for between a child and his/her parents and grandparent. Recently I heard that it is encouraged to kiss their parents feet/legs (without bowing or prostrating) However how can we put our head by someone's feet? Is this not a sin itself?

There has been some debate between some friends and myself about at what age should parents start covering their daughters with hijab or niqab? Should it be from birth? when she starts school (mixing with boys)? At an age when potential husbands are being searched? when she starts puberty.... or should we simply speak with her at young age and explain that Allah desires females cover themselves and let her decide whether she would like to fulfill Allah's wishes or go against his will? Thank you all for your responses.

Is father-in-Law non-mahram according to Islam?
If a young woman gets married outside family, does she has to observe full hijab in front of her father-in-law. Is he Mahram? That would mean she has to hide her face from her father-in-Law all times and avoid any conversation or contact with him. Is this true?

When he was a child, a Muslim brother's mother would curse him when she was angry with him owing to his naughtiness with words like "May you always cry in your life," and other such strong curses. Today he is in his 40s and, though he is a very talented and hard-working man, he is unable to move out of a financial quagmire despite all efforts on his part. For the most part of his adult life he has been unhappy with little respite and has been beset by ongoing personal and financial problems almost ceaselessly. In retrospect, he strongly feels that these circumstances came about owing to the curses of his mother, who loved him dearly but during momentary anger would curse him, and a mother's duas for her child, even if they are destructive, are accepted by Allah. Now his mother is no more and he desperately wants to overcome the ill effects of those curses but is unable to do so and his circumstances refuse to change. Is there a way out for him? Can someone please give an answer based on the strong references and evidences only?

A couple was in the habit of having constant conjugal fights. In the course of one such altercation, the husband asked the wife, "Can't you get any poison?". The wife then and there got the insecticide which was incidentally at their house, drank it, and in-spite-of the best efforts from the doctors, died in hospital after fighting with death for two days. Now, definitely, the woman is in a very big sin by committing suicide. On the other hand, the question is, the children of this fellow want to know how should they treat their father in light of Islamic teachings? He is their father non-the-less. Again, he is the person who is indirectly responsible for the act committed by their mother.

Someone told to us that they are mahrams as they are your nephews and Islam has declared them as mahrams, which a have brought up some confusion. According to history we can find that the children of siblings are mahram and other with whom you don't have blood relation are non-mahram as we can find the example of Hazrat Ali and Bibi Fatimah. So please tell me am I right that children of your cousins are not your mahram in accordance with hadith and the Holy Quran.
