Salamun aleikum, I have a question, regarding the compilation of the Quran. My question is about the differences in the Uthmanic codices, which were sent to different cities to unite the Ummah on this topic. So, I read two statements on this topic: 1. In Al-Azamis book „The History of the Quranic Text“, he quotes on page 99 (from Abu Ubaid, Fada‘il and ad-Dani, al-Muqni), that there are variations of no more than 40 characters throughout the 6 mushafs, concerning only one letter, with an exception of the exclusion of a „he“ in one verse. 2. Somewhere else, where I am going to post the link, there is given another source, where it states that in verse 9:100 the word „min“ is only there in the Makkan Mushaf. So there would be another word, which is either included or excluded. https://www.islamweb.net/en/fatwa/259588/facts-about-the-writing-of-the-mus-haf So my question, are these two complementary or one of them wrong or did I understood something comepletely wrong? So ist would be great, if someone clarifies this point, because this topic really confused me. May Allah protect Us from going to a wrong path and protect our heart from the whisper of the Shaitan.

It was forbidden to have sex with them until they were distributed and their iddah period was over that's a long time. But this hadith clearly show they decided to have intercourse with them without waiting iddah period. > Abu Sa'id, did you hear Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) mentioning al-'azl? He said: Yes, and added: We went out with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) on the expedition to the Bi'l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing 'azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid-conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah's Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born. -- Sahih Muslim 1438

Is it permissible to rub my penis during a bath?
I'm 17 years old male (not married). I'm just thinking about something that I do when I go for a bath, is it permissible to rub my penis during a bath with the intention of releasing semen and being lascivious? After that I wash my penis with clean water.

Sunni's view on Ghadir Khumm
Shia's view on Ghadir Khumm produces the idea that Ali is the only legitimate successor directly after Muhammad. What is the Sunnis view on this? Why don't they consider Ghadir Khumm as serious as Shias do?

apologies for the vulgarity of the title but it really is the question I want to ask. Qur’an 4.24 permits intercourse with women captured in jihad as is deducible from the context of revelation > Abu Saeed al Khudri reported that at the Battle of Hanain Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) sent an army to Autas and encountered the enemy and fought with them. Having overcome them and taken them captives, the Companions of Allah's Messenger seemed to refrain from having intercourse with captive women because of their husbands being polytheists. Then Allah, Most High, sent down regarding that: ‘And women already married, except those whom your right hands possess(4.24)’
[Sahih Muslim](https://sunnah.com/muslim:1456a) Imam Muslim’s chapter heading says; > It is permissible to have intercourse with a female captive after it is established that she is not pregnant, and if she has a husband, then her marriage is annulled when she is captured And my question is what if the captured woman does not wish to have intercourse. Then is it permitted to rape her or is her consent necessary?

I was researching to find some mosques in an area/state and came across one that provides Nikah services. When reading their document in terms of a Marriage contract, it had the word Shi'a in it and it made me wonder if the marriage contract/process is not a sunni process. how does one know if the marriage contract AND the mosque is of a sunni or shia sect? I quote from their marriage contract document: "...Shi’a Ithna-Asheri (Ja’fari) laws of Islam..." It seems difficult to find a mosque who can perform a straight forward sunni Nikah. Does anyone know in the state of Washington or Portland if there sunni mosques who can perform interfaith marriages?

Why is the martyrdom of the daughter of the Prophet, Fatima al-Zahra, commemorated at three different times?
In the Shia school of thought, the martyrdom of the daughter of the Prophet is commemorated at three different times; the last one today, on 3rd of Jumada al-Thani. Why is it that "there are three different times for the Wafat of Fatima al-Zahra"?

I'm wondering what people are saying during this dua. **Question**: In Iran, before the second ruku in prayer, what is said during the standing dua? Wikipedia mentions that dua is particularly important in Shia Islam, and even has a photo of women performing (what I would guess is) this particular dua. It didn't seem obligatory as not everyone did it, but it seemed common practice. It looks like this is a *prostration of thanksgiving* (ref. ) which I had not encountered before going to Iran. I would like to know precisely how this is performed in case I decide to do this too. **Question**: How is the Shia prostration of thanksgiving performed? There appears to be differences, e.g., one does not perform the other parts of the rakat , but go straight into sujud from the sitting position.

At the age of 16 I had this one friend in which we both didn't really think about our religion. One night we were at her house and we ordered food from a place that wasn't halal and I'm not saying it was her fault because I was fully aware of my actions and I knew it was haram yet I still did it but I sorta felt as if it was peer pressure from both of us. A year has passed now and I've basically lost contact with her but I've been giving that day a thought and I've never ate unhalal meat again but I regret that day so much and wonder if I'm gonna be punished for it even though I wasn't that aware of the punishments of doing haram things. Also I wanna know if there is a way that I could ask for forgiveness about that specific reason. Any sort of help is accepted thank you!
