If I was 1-5 minutes late for ASR (or any other obligatory prayer) will make me a disbeliever?
I had 6 minutes before prayer, and I did wudu for the remaining time. I had 6 minutes before prayer, and I did wudu for the remaining time. I’m usually praying at home and I don’t have a Masjid anywhere nearby so I can hear it, but I do have the adhan on my Prayer Watch app, but I didn’t listen to it because by the time I finished my wudu, I had little time left and I rushed to pray. However I was late for the ASR prayer by 2 minutes, while NOT hearing the adhan, and I was wondering if my prayer counts, and do I become a kafir? (Disbeliever)
Also something to note: I suppose that I thought 6minutes or less was typically enough to do wudu but well of course I had my doubts so Allah knows the best if this counts as laziness or not

I accidentally fasted voluntarily on a sunday the last half of Shaban even though it's considered haram/makruh. Someone informed me of the hadith that you shall not fast unless you used to do it. I didn't found out it was sahih until iftar.
There's also a hadith you cant fast solely on a friday, saturday (Both hadith are considered authentic). And Sunday is the christians day.
I knew the later hadith before hand. Now do I have to not fast in the last half of Shaban because it's considered haram or continue the plan I had to fast Monday because I fasted Sunday alone? If this happens do we have to follow the hadith which says it's haram or go with the hadith that says fast another day after only fasting Friday/Saturday?

I just wanted to ask, I am in UAE and not employed, (currently on tourist visa for more than a year, we renew it each month and its very expensive). I don't have a job, I have it in a bank, but I left it because of riba, so If I purchase a visa (which is illegal) through a company, where on paper they show to the government I am their employee, and transfer each month a certain amount as salary, but in between us, they will issue me an NOC so I can work anywhere and give that salary back to them each month. Such a setting, would be halal? Or would be classed as deception?
p.s this is very common, and often people to do it to live in uae easily and work wherever they want in a cheap way as compared to getting touritst visas. But I am concerned If am incurring sin or lie or deception with this. Technically I am their employee and hold a visa but I don't have to work ofcourse, this is only a setting for visa.

Recently I was talking to a Jewish friend about which religion has more claim to Palestine. He was claiming that Jews do, since Jews come from Judea (an area in Palestine) and it was called this for a long time. I told him that there is proof that it was called Palestine for many thousands of years and there is much proof.
But there is no mention of the name "Palestine" in the Qur'an. So I was wondering:
**What is the proper name for Palestine, in the Muslim tradition?**

We know in Islam, Allah has timed everything, from born, to how much will you earn and how ane when you die. When a doctor mistreat a patient or gave them a wrong medicine, they die or get so ill that there health won't be the same anyone. Is that written in his qadr? or someone who commit suicide e.g someone who is doing well financially and then something happens in life and they commit suicide, all of these sudden instance or mistake causes person to die, so does mean it was there time and Allah has writthen for them to die in such a way?
Today while in hospital, I was given something that made my blood pressure drop so much that I was almost fainted and bright light was so much that I was looking in sun, but later I got ok, so that question is in my head as my mother in law died by hands of doctor too few years back, while I say it was qadr but my wife say it was mistake of doctor and she would have been alive if doctor took her seriously

Islam permits slavery but I haven't been able to find anything regarding keeping slaves who are Muslims.
Considering a hypothetical scenario taking place during the early Islamic days where one Muslim nation goes to war with another Muslim nation and one of them comes out victorious. What would the ruling be in context of Islamic Doctrine regarding taking war booty and slaves from the fallen Muslim nation?
Are there any ruling at all in Quran or Hadith?
Thank you.

___
To make it more clear, I'm not asking about non-Muslim slaves that become Muslims after being made slaves, or being born to slaves inheriting the slave status.
I am asking about free believing Muslim women becoming enslaved.

But the software does not allow me to delete it, and editing it in a substantial way would make fool of all the answers and comments already given to the *original, unchanged* question.

Is the Qur'an a book?
This may seem like a strange question at first, since well, we can literally see that the Qur'an is a book: [![Image source: Wikimedia commons][1]][1] And we often refer to it as a book. This may seem like a strange question at first, since well, we can literally see that the Qur'an is a book:
And we often refer to it as a book. And the Qur'an refers to itself as a book (Qur'an 5:15 : "...There has come to you from Allah a light and a clear Book."). However, it doesn't seem that straightforward:
- القرآن al-Qurʾān means "the recitation" (Wikipedia ), which suggests the sequence of words in the Qur'an is what makes it the Qur'an, not the medium on which it's written,
- the Qur'an was transmitted through "oral memorization and recitation" (see: https://islam.stackexchange.com/q/28370/17163) , i.e., the Qur'an existed before it was in book format, and
- I have the Qur'an on my computer in pdf format; we don't likewise call the Qur'an e.g. the "holy pdf" of Islam.
**Question**: Is it technically correct to refer to the Qur'an as a book?
This is a bit of a philosophical question: identifying the essence of the Qur'an, that which if we took it away, we would no longer have a Qur'an.
----
*Update* (or: what I've learned since I first posted this question):
- Another question highlights that the word *kitab* (کتاب), which means "book ", is used in Qur'an 2:2 to refer to itself https://islam.stackexchange.com/q/14927/17163
- III-AK-III writes the *Qur'an did not, does not, and will not rely on manuscripts* in an answer to https://islam.stackexchange.com/q/46748/17163 This answer quotes the ayah:
> Rather, the Qur'an is distinct verses [preserved] within the breasts of those who have been given knowledge. And none reject Our verses except the wrongdoers.
> Qur'an 29:49
- Wikipedia writes: When referring to the physical bound volume, some use the term *mus'haf* (مصحف).

Quran is an eternal word of God which is uncreated, that I know but, For example, if a non-Muslim burns a copy of the Quran, he has burnt the Quran itself or a copy of the Quran composed of pages & letters written via pen/ink?
How is the majority opinion that Quran is uncreated even in books according to the answers here ??

I once had pre-ejaculation on my hand, and I did not wash it. However I went ahead and I sat and touched everywhere on the carpet.
With this being said, I don’t know if the impurity transferred or not because, my hand wasn’t neither wet or dry. It was more to like a moist matter. HOWEVER my hand was 100% not wet to a point where if I touch the carpet or a think peice of cloth it will soak it.
Due to this; I now feel there is impurity on my carpet, and I cannot make wudu because I keep thinking if I step on the impurity with wet/moist feet, it will transfer to me and I when I step on my wudu mat then this will become impure aswell because my feet were wet.
Can someone please give me some insights on this? Jazak Allahu Khairan

As far as I know, If a Person is not a muslim, then He or her has not chance to go to Jannah. If the person is a disbeliever because he has never known the existence of Islam, then he can be accepted into Jannah.
My question is:
Let's say there is a Christian, and he knows the existence of Islam, and he respect it as a religion, but he still holds onto his.
This person spent all his life helping others, doing a lot of volunteering in Africa and in Asia just to save and help lives ecc... and sacrificing his whole life for others.
Now, is this person still not accepted into Jannah? does he really have to spend the eternity in hell, even if his life was full of only good deeds?
