I suffer from depression and have been on medication for many years which works and this may be a factor. However I go through phases of being bored. Same routine, same daily predictable job, etc. Very predictable. Even in spare time I'm bored. I like to sleep. You may say you should listen to the Qur'an. I do but as I don't know Arabic I don't get the full benefit. Other things like TV, films and music are haraam by the majority of scholars so I can't entertain myself via them. Is there any advice in Islam on this or any practical advice you may have please?

I've a question regarding the subconscious mind: Is it haram to believe in the utility & utilize, the scientifically proven parts of the subconscious mind? Like I know there're quite a few aspects around subconscious mind like "Law of attraction", manifesting, subliminals, "The Secret" stuff that's completely haram & might even be shirk. These have no scientific basis either. I don't believe in those. I don't believe in the core idea of manifesting. But some elements of the subconscious mind has been scientifically proven like the placebo effect, power of visualization(mental imagery) etc. Can I believe in those as one of the blessings from Allah & try to utilize them for my benefits(health, productivity, professional? Jazakallah Khairan.

I really need some guidance on my situation. I have a problem where I bleed all the time sometimes it's light, and other times it's heavy, but overall, I’m constantly on my period. I’ve seen doctors, but they haven’t been able to help much. However, I believe birth control can regulate my period, and the doctors suggested I take it. The problem is, I don’t want to risk my health by taking birth control every day, as I don’t think it’s healthy. So, I’ve just been living with this condition. My question is: Can I still pray and fast? I stopped praying and fasting because I believe this blood isn’t pure it feels like my body is detoxing and getting rid of bad blood. Can someone please help me understand what to do in this situation?

The Jewish jurist and physician Maimonides penned a treatise entitled "On Coitus" in response to an inquiry from an official in the Ayyubid Sultanate who asked how he can sexually satisfy all the women from his harem without depeleting or otherwise negative affecting his own health. I was wondering why from the official's perspective this was required. What did he care if the women in his harem were not sexually satisfied (which I understood to mean brought to orgasm). Does Islam require a man to sexually pleasure his wife (wives)? If it does, then I can understood why the official in question was seeking Maimonides' advice as to how to accomplish this with his many wives without hurting himself. But if it doesn't require this, then I don't know why the man was asking about this. In Islamic jurisprudence, does a woman who is not sexually attended to by her husband allowed to ask a court for a divorce or something like that?

Assalamwalekum, I’m a Developer and I plan to build a smart wearable band to track health related data and analyse them using AI model. The wearable devices that I plan to build are as followed: 1. Metal or Silicon wrist band 2. Glucose meter (plastic) 3. Similar products Apart from that, I plan to implant a microchip & a microprocessor into my body (hand) and will not be visible as it will be inside the body. Now most processors use gold but I’m seeking alternatives. My questions are: 1. Are metal wrist band halal to everyone? If yes then which metals are halal for male and female? 2. Electronic uses Gold, Copper and other metals in their circuit boards (I will 100% avoid toxic metals like Lead and other). What about that? 3. Now for body implants, will it be halal (they will be hidden and so can’t be used for fashion purposes). Which metals will be considered Halal. My plans are to build a Halal Health Solution (except the body implantation thing, that is only for me). Help me out, please.

My mother has been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. She went through one chemo so far and she is recovering. Even the doctors are very positive. However, she is **extremely** negative about her situation. She is constantly questioning why Allah is making her go through this pain, not praying/making dua and no matter how much anyone is trying to convince her, we see no change in her state of mind. Her 2nd chemo is coming in two weeks time and before that we want her to think positively and stay hopeful. We are trying to see if we can get professional help but at the same time, I would also like to know: **Question:** Is there any dua/namaz that can effectively change her thinking?

First off, I am not a Muslim, nor do I wish to cause offense to any Muslims. Recently with all the obligation of wearing a facemask at all times I have been wondering, why not make it even more protective? Wearing a full head-covering would be better it seems. And my genius Muslim brothers and sisters have invented attire that not only serves this purpose, but is also rather stylish as well. I am sensitive however to this being a garment of religious significance, and that it may be considered offensive or cultural appropriation, for a nonbeliever to use it for a purpose it is not intended. Maybe even moreso, since I am a man. Yet the idea of being able to walk around with my head and face fully covered is still appealing, as long as it is not upsetting.

Overeating can be detrimental to one's health in a variety of ways : there's more extreme cases, such as binge eating disorder and bulimia , but also simply eating too much and becoming obese results in health problems. As such, it stands to reason that, at some point, overeating would be considered haram. **Question**: Is there a clear point where overeating becomes haram? A question Why is smoking tobacco haraam? is answered quoting the Qur'an *do not kill yourselves* 4:29 , and this logic seems to be applicable here.

Let us suppose that at some time in the future, followers of Islam find their way to planets other than earth, and let us suppose that on one of these planets, in order to maintain proper levels of vitamin D, people must expose as much of their bodies as practical to the light of a different sun that emits far less ultraviolet light than our own sun, for as much of the daylight hours as possible, as no foods or supplements containing any vitamin D at all are available. Should a person maintain properly modest attire according to Islam as we know it now, in such an environment they would surely develop Vitamin D deficiency diseases. It should not be considered possible to leave such an environment - the journey would be one-way, and neither would it have been possible to anticipate prior to arrival on the new planet that such conditions might exist without vitamin D supplements being available. I have no doubt that exposing one's whole body to the light of the sun - and since work must still be done, to the view of other people - all day would be considered very immodest, but how could this as a necessity of health in this peculiar situation be reconciled with the Islamic requirement to remain modesty dressed? I would appreciate answers that reference appropriate scripture.
