Did the Prophet forbid Hind bint Utbah from coming in front of him?
It has come to my hearing several times that the beloved prophet Muhammad (pbuh) forbade Hinda, the wife of Abu Sufyan to come in front of him, for she had been responsible for the killing of his uncle, Hamzah. Is this a fabrication? Is there any source of reference for this?

Yesternight, I saw a cockroach walked on top of my Quran. It walked on top of only the outside cover and didn't go inside. It was the large American cockroach type. I read online that insects which have a pure origin ( ie they come from a pure place such as trees, ) are pure, while insects with an impure origin ( ie they come from dirty places such as sewers, toilets ) are impure. I think the cockroach must be impure, because I have seen these type of cockroahces in the sewer and the bathroom. So what should be done to clean the Quran ? Should I wipe it with a tissue or wipe it with tissue+water ?

I'm a single woman who does not have a job but I do have savings in my account. I did do my research and people say every lunar new year we should give Zakat but I am confused because in Ramadan we are also suppose to give Zakat. What they don't say is how often (every day or every week, etc). So you can see why I am confused

When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came to Al-Madinah he said: 'You had two days when you would play, but Allah (SWT) has given Muslims something instead that is better than them: the day of Al-Fitr and the day of Al-Adha.'" > >*Sunan an-Nasa'i 1556 Book 19, Hadith 1* ? Since Al-Fitr and Al-Adha are days of celebration and celebration has almost no relation with *play* , so what is *play* particularly referring to in this hadith here? And is what it's referring in sync with the literal definition of the word? *Reasoning required.*

> Narrated Abu Dhar: > >The Prophet asked me at sunset, "Do you know where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the interpretation of the Statement of Allah: "And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All-Knowing." > > [Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 421] Can someone please explain the bold part? As a gay male I never quite understood where Muslims were getting the prohibition for homosexuality. The people of Lut committed a specific act, intercourse from the rear area, this is the single act which is punishable in Islam, not for example two men pleasuring each other's genitals without the use of the anus. And even if homosexuality in general was prohibited, how do Muslims translate and equate this to a romantic relation between members of the same gender that avoids lustful actions, and what counts as lustful action, from what I know I as a male lower my gaze from females, and the awrah of a man in front of another man is debatable I think.

If the only purpose for mankind was to worship Allah, then why was mankind given freewill? Freewill gives man a chance to disobey and not worship Allah. Why would Allah allow that chance to exist if he knew that men who choose to not worship will have grave suffering? **Update**: The answers seem to miss the question. The question is more about the reasoning behind giving freewill to the creation if the only purpose for mankind was to worship Allah. Think about this. Let's say my wife and I have a choice to give birth to a robot or a human child. If my only purpose for having a child was for it to become a rich superstar then I would have a robot child which I can program to follow my orders. However, that's usually not the purpose of having a child. Parents usually want more from their children. One of their wants is for the child to love and respect them voluntarily.. Now, in that case, having a child with freewill makes sense! Why? Because if I'm a parent and I know that my child was programmed to love me it would not the same as if my child loved me voluntarily...

In a series of YouTube videos, IQRA Cartoon gives a series of cartoons which describe the Prophets' lives. One example is Yunus (AS) - Prophet story (No Music) - Islamic Cartoon and this is an idea of what it looks like: Prophet Yunus We see that Prophet Yunus is blurred out, while the other characters are not. This holds throughout the videos, where characters are blurred out whenever they are Prophets. For https://islam.stackexchange.com/q/869/17163 , NesreenA answers "The Prophet SAAWS strictly prohibited the drawing of beings with souls" (see also https://islam.stackexchange.com/q/27471/17163) . The above cartoon series takes steps to blur out the Prophets, presumably because images of the Prophets are "more haram" in some way. I want to understand why there is a specific importance of the images of the Prophets over other beings with souls. **Question**: Are images of the Prophets more haram than images of other beings with souls?

So there's a story of a man who killed 99 people which I'm sure many are familiar with. When Allah sends the angels down and they measure the distance the man was to the town of sin and compare it to the distance he is to the town of "attaining forgiveness", I don't understand the logic behind doing this. Wasn't the man's intention and **action** by being on his way to forgiveness enough? Also, I don't understand why he needed to travel anywhere in the first place to complete his repentance. As far as I know there are 3 conditions of repentance 1) regret 2) ceasing the sin 3) firm resolve to never return to the sin. There's nothing about travelling to a special place so that Allah can forgive you. So I'm wondering if someone can explain this story to me.

السلام‌عليكم، I want to know whether it Sunnah to be in an abluted state all the time? I mean in a state that one can offer salah. For example, when ablution is invalidated, one immediately renews it. I searched web but didn't find anything for my answer. Some hadiths may be found that answers it as 'yes' but these hadiths should be from As-Sahihain (Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Al-Muslim) as we cannot follow a doubtful hadith. This is something people recommend but I cannot accept it unless it is verified. As Allah commands >"And do not follow a thing about which you have no knowledge..." [17:36] and >"...Say, Bring your proof, if you are truthful. [2:111] Thanks.
