Can Maryam be considered a prophet even though she's a female? Why or why not?
Can Maryam be considered a prophet even though she's a female? She seems to have had angelic meetings/messages and held in such high esteem by both Allah and followers. I'm new to understanding Islam, so by what basis is one considered a prophet?

just to make the question more comprehensible, i would like to know the rulings/arguments for and against both reduction and enlargement. please note that the intention of doing it is not for beauty or show-off. (one may wonder why enlargement then, consider a scenario where the husband requests)

I have heard that this (Sahih al-Jami) is a compilation by Sh. Al-Albani. Is there another title which is similar by another scholar or is this correct?
And in the compilation, does anyone know the source of this narration?

Assalamuailakum,
Is this sinful? My parents want to do an islamic marriage ceremony for my athiest brother (hes 28yo) and his girlfriend. They do not believe in Allah swt but my parents say as muslim themselves it is their duty to get them married islamically. This doesn't make sense to me as I feel like it is disrespecting the Islamic marriage tradition. The two people doing it need to have faith in Allah swt to be able for it to mean anything, they would have to convert to Islam right? Otherwise its just an act and its better for them to just get a civil marriage done in the eyes of the Law. Am I correct or are my parents allowed to make them do a "pretend" Islamic marriage ceremony for traditions sake?
They also say doing the Islamic ceremony even if he and his girlfriend do not have faith is a good thing because he might come back to faith through it? And therefore they are doing their duty as Muslims.
My brother being an atheist doesn't care either way about the religious aspect and will just do it because it means nothing to him and he mostly just wants the traditional wedding experience.

I am a owner of a game development company. Currently our team is working on a multiplayer shooter game. In that game, the user will purchase coins and play with others with some portion of that coin. Winners will get all the coin and after a certain amount of coins the winner can redeem that coin for real money. My question is:
1. Is this a gambling in eye of Islam? As it depends on player skill rather than luck then how could it be gambling?
2. If it is gambling then if I give them the opportunity to earn that coin from the game by doing some task then will the game still be gambling? (e.g. watching video ads will give the user 1 coin or something like that).
I am a pure Muslim and at least I don't want to do any forbidden things that is directly mentioned in the Holy Qur'an. If the project is related to gambling then how can I make it legal in an Islamic way? I mean what feature will make it not forbidden in the eyes of Islam, keeping in mind that I don't want to remove the coin playing system.

I have a question. Since in Quran Mary is called sister of Aaron which scholars interpret that she was from his tribe. Well I have checked her father who is Imran in Quran genealogies in various interpretations of Quran(Zamakhshari, Qurtubi, Tabari and others as well) none of them suggest that he was from the same tribe as Aaron i.e. the tribe of Levi. Instead they trace back to Judah.
Doesn't this mean that Mary was from the tribe of Judah or other tribe? If this is the case is Quran wrong in claiming her sister of Aaron then?
Since we Muslims don't believe in biblical genealogies of Mary which too suggest that she was from Judah, that's why I had to check through Islamic sources.
Genealogies are as follows
(Ibn Kathir)

Does relinquishing lead of fajr salaat to 'Eesa bin Maryam by Mahdi an indication that ameer ul mumineen need not be from progeny of Ali and Fatima?

> Hudhayfah reported that the Prophet (S) said, “Al-Mahdi will turn his face to Jesus when he descends as if water were dropping from his hair, and will say to him, ‘Go ahead and say the prayer.’ Jesus will say, ‘The prayer has been set up only for you.’ So, Jesus will pray behind a man who is among my sons. Sirat-al-mustaqim 257, a shia source.
>
> While their Imaam will have advanced to pray the Fajr prayer with them, 'Eesa, the son of Mary may Allaah exalt his mention will descend [at the time of the Fajr prayer]. The Imaam will draw backward so that 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention would go forward and lead the people in prayer. However, 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention would put his hand between his shoulders and say to him: "Go forward and pray, as it is for you that the call for the prayer was called, so their Imaam would lead them in prayer."
>
> [[Ibn Maajah](https://www.sunnah.com/ibnmajah/36/152/)]
Al-Munaawi may Allaah have mercy upon him said in his book entitled Faydh Al-Qadeer:
> He (i.e. 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention) would descend at the time of Fajr prayer at the white minaret east of Damascus and he would find the Imaam (of prayer) Al-Mahdi wanting to establish the prayer. When he realizes that 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention is present, he would draw backward so that 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention would advance (to lead the people in prayer) but 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention would put him forward to lead the prayer and he would pray behind him. So, this is a great favor and honor for this nation. Thus, what is mentioned in this Hadeeth does not contradict what is mentioned in other narrations that 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention will lead Al-Mahdi in prayer. This was authoritatively asserted by Sa'd At-Taftaazaani who considered 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention to be better, as it is possible to reconcile (the narrations) that 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention would first pray behind the Mahdi in order to show that he ('Eesa) descended to be a follower of our Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) ruling by his [Prophet's] Sharee'ah (law). Then the Mahdi would be led by 'Eesa may Allaah exalt his mention on the basis of the principle that the one who is less important is led by the one who is better and more important.

My parents repeatedly insult and degrade my husband to a point that they personally attack him on issues such as how much money he makes, how he dresses, etc. They have been doing this for many years until a little while ago, they burst at him and crossed every line of disrespect. My husband lost his temper and responded that they are doing wrong and he does not wish to keep a further relationship with them because of the way they wrong him EVERY time we meet (at gatherings, etc.).
My parents at that time did the same with me and told me that I am blinded and that my husband is a liar, and so is his family, etc. etc. My husband was selected by my parents, we had gotten married with everyone's consent and he is making a halal earning Alhumdullilah. My parents also gave me the ultimatum that I have hurt them over the years by siding with my husband. At this point, my siblings are also siding with my parents and all parties are at a no-talking relationship. I do not know how to proceed but am completely aware of the fact that my parents are in the wrong, as much as I hate to say it.
Islamically, how should a woman deal with such a conflict between her two families (i.e. between her husband and her parents), especially insofar as she is expected to maintain ties with both?

**Question**: Did the Prophet have knowledge of the unseen (_'ilm al-ghayb_)?
During _Hijra_, the Prophet hired a guide for the trip.
If the Prophet had knowledge of unseen, he would not have hired a guide. The Prophet would have known all safe routes to _Madinah_. Does hiring a guide for _Hijra_ opposes those who say the Prophet had knowledge of unseen?
