What is the meaning of this hadith about evil of darkening?
>'The Prophet (ﷺ) looked at the moon and he said': "*O Aishah, do you seek refuge with Allah from the evil of this? For indeed this is Al-Ghasiqu Idha Waqab*" (The darkened one as it darkens) - (أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا الغاسقِ إِذا وَقَب). Narrated in At-Tirmidhi ([3366][1]) and Abu I'sa...

For indeed this is Al-Ghasiqu Idha Waqab*" (The darkened one as it darkens) - (أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا الغاسقِ إِذا وَقَب). Narrated in At-Tirmidhi (3366 ) and Abu I'sa classed it Hasan Sahih; it is also narrated in Al-Hakim (2/589 ) who stated its Isnad is Sahih, and Imam Dhahabi agreed; in Musnad Ahmad (24323 , 25711 , 25802 and 26146 ); Ibn Hajar classed it Hasan in Fath al-Bari (8/741 ) I would like to know the meaning of this evil and what is refers to exactly? Is there a commentary or explanation for this narration?

The hadith about placing hands on chest in musnad ahmed
Following is the hadith in musnad ahmed: > Sayyiduna Hulb (ra) relates, 'I saw the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) turn from both his right and left and I also saw him place this upon his chest.' Following is the hadith in musnad ahmed: > Sayyiduna Hulb (ra) relates, 'I saw the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) turn from both his right and left and I also saw him place this upon his chest.' Yahya (one of the narrators) described this as being the right hand upon the left above the wrist joint. (Ahmad 21460.) Imam Nimawi comments in his al T'aleeq al Hasan (1/145): > 'I have a suspicion that the wording of this hadeeth has mistakenly been changed by a writer. The correct words would appear to be "Yadhau hadhihi ala hadhihi", i.e., "he would place this hand upon this hand", and not "hadhihi ala sadrihi", i.e., "this hand upon his chest". Only this wording would be in agreement with the narrators own interpretation of the hadeeth as is stated in the narration "Yahya described this as being the right hand upon the left above the wrist joint". This would also tally with all the other narrations of this hadeeth that do not contain the wording "upon the chest". I know that this is a matter of dispute but I only wanted to know whether imam nimawi's point is valid. Because the hadith wording is quite strange as it mentions only one hand i.e. "place this hand on chest". I just want answer to this for knowledge I know this matter is broad in scope.

Would Allah ever decrease our good deeds?

According to Surah Muhammad Verse 35: "So do not weaken and call for peace while you are superior; and Allah is with you and will never deprive you of [the reward of] your deeds." - Quran 47:35 But according to one hadith: Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The one who omits to pray Asr, all his good deeds will be lost.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (553). So the Quran is saying that Allah will never decrease our good deeds but the hadith says if we omit Asr, all our good deeds will be lost. There seems to be a contradiction here. Can somebody comment on this and clear me off this confusion? Thank you.

>(38) Chapter: The humility or modesty or lowliness(38)باب التَّوَاضُعِ > >Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Allah said, 'I will declare war against him who shows hostility to a pious worshipper of Mine. And the most beloved things with which My slave comes nearer to Me, is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (praying or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him, so I become his sense of hearing with which he hears, and his sense of sight with which he sees, and his hand with which he grips, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks Me, I will give him, and if he asks My protection (Refuge), I will protect him; (i.e. give him My Refuge) and I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him." (Sahih al-Bukhari ) I want detailed explanation of this sentence from the Hadith above mentioned: > " I do not hesitate to do anything as I hesitate to take the soul of the believer, for he hates death, and I hate to disappoint him."

When a person is performing good deeds, he is being rewarded. Say, he is helping his parents, so he is attaining hasanat for his act Or say he is committing a sin like listening to music, so sayi'at is recorded for him. But is there any evidence describing the rate at which these hasanat or sayi'at are written during the period he was performing it? I am specifically looking for the "time interval" in the rate, like "every second", "every blink of the eye", "every breathe" etc., not the "amount" per time interval. In other words, a minimum time gap after which his hasanat or sayi'at will be incremented for the same act because the act is being performed over a span of time. Since some people are having hard time understanding me, let me state the reason I asked this: I heard in a gathering, the lecturer say that a women who has not dressed in compliance with Islamic rules, and gone has out in front of non-mahram men will have a grave sin recorded "every second" as long as she is front of them. Now I know do not know that if it was a figure of speech to say "every second", but I am curious to know if Islam describes any such time interval after which hasanat or sayi'at increments (not necessarily by a unit amount).
