Does the Islamic 24-hour clock start at maghrib in countries that practice the Islamic calendar? If not, why?

I understand the Islamic day begins at sunset/maghrib (e.g. https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/24725/if-the-date-changes-with-sunset-why-is-asr-called-the-middle-prayer) . However, it is less clear whether the daily 24 hour clock also begins (i.e. 00:00 (0 hours and 0 minutes)) at this time, as practised by countries or major international organisations which adopt the Islamic calendar. I would be grateful if members here could inform as to the whether it does? And if not (e.g. it starts at the (Gregorian calendar) midnight), why this is the case? That is, the justifications (especially theological/fiqh (vs practical/logistical) for the discrepancy between the accepted theological basis of the start of the day, and the actual practice?. Thank you.

What is the Islamic view of 'Chimera'? Who will their children belong to as per Sharia?

A chimera is essentially a single organism that's made up of cells from two or more "individuals"—that is, it contains two sets of DNA, with the code to make two separate organisms. *One way that chimeras can happen naturally in humans is that a fetus can absorb its twin.* I stumbled across a 2015 case where a child's DNA turned to be his uncles and not his father. But what was more shocking was that the father didn't have a brother! What science learned from this changed our entire perspective. The father was a chimera who absorbed his fraternal twin, who also happened to be a male. Inside, the father’s sperm was 90% himself and 10% his twin brother. His son only inherited the absorbed brother’s sperm, though. From this, a man who was never born managed to have a child of his own. From an Islamic perspective, I'd like to inquire who can we consider the father to be? **Link:** https://time.com/4091210/chimera-twins/ **P.S** I understand that such genetic details might not have been available 1400+ years ago. But do the ulema of today have any ijtehad on such matters from Hadiths?

How is killing prisoners of war justified?
I heard that killing male prisoners of war is allowed. How is that justified? Keep in mind that being a prisoner of war doesn’t necessarily means that you were involved in a battle. He can even be the family member of the person that fought in war against the Muslims.

In advance, I'm new to this and I'm coming here out of desperation so sorry if I break any rules or whatever. I'm sitting here crying because my heart just doesn't feel full anymore. I committed some sins a while ago and even after repenting my heart just feels dead. I listen to the Qur'an and I don't shiver anymore. I can't focus in prayer and I don't cry anymore and end up having to make Sujood of forgetfulness almost every time. I feel awful and I just don't know anymore. I'm scared because I don't want my heart to be hard. I want it to be soft like it was before but I just don't feel the same. I know Allah has not abandoned me but I'm asking if this is a test or if this is a punishment for the sins which I have committed. I just feel like my heart has just started to drift from the light. I feel nothing in prayer and that makes me feel awful. so, is this a test? or is this a punishment? edit: Thanks to the people who responded! today I noticed that I started to feel a bit better and had more concentration in my prayer. I was just in fear because I knew I was the only one to blame for my hearts state and was afraid that it was a punishment. Will be sure to stay steadfast and do my best

Why is there facilitation for a child born in a Muslim Family as compared to a child born in a Non-Muslim Family? Why is struggle for a Muslim person born in a Muslim Family made easier as compared to a Non-Muslim person born in a Non-Muslim Family? I understand that everyone should seek the truth and that everyone is born in the state of fitra (nature) ie he's born a Muslim and later on, his family influences him to shape his religious and ideological beliefs. However, if a person is born in a Muslim family, he is at an advantage compared to an individual who is born in a non-Muslim family since the person born in Muslim family already knows that God is one and about the finality of Prophethood. So even if he doesn't do research or seek truth, he'll die as a Muslim (even if he doesn't obey God's commands) and therefore, he'll ultimately go to heaven after some time in hell. Whereas the person born in a non-Muslim family, even if he commits good deeds, will not enter heaven if he's a polytheist or an athiest. So why are some people at such a massive advantage when it comes to be born in a certain Muslim family? And how did God decide that which individuals deserve to be born in a Muslim family and the others don't? Did all the people before getting born underwent any test? And if there wasn't then isn't God unjust in doing so by creating unfavourable circumstances for one group of people? I've heard replies from scholars like Zakir Naik and others on this topic but those seemed unconvincing so I thought this is right forum. Edit: Why is this being down voted? Is asking questions not a part of Islam? P.S. I'm a Muslim myself

Assalamualaikum. Salamuaikum I do not know if you are responsible for this but I am desperate .. I’m a sister and Religious Alhamdulillah. I have a concern that has not let go of me for years. In my childhood (or maybe this already counts as youth) - I was 12 or 13 or 14 years old (don’t remember so good) - I was in bed with my brother, who was 2 or 3 years old at the time. out of curiosity, I touched his genitals with my genitals. even though i remember- that it was wrong but i did it .. then I let go of it and never did it again. 15 years have now passed.. but i read something in the internet about death penaltry = sharia law. I have regretted it, but I am deeply ashamed. I read on an English fatwa site on the Internet that looked very serious that there is only death for something like that in Islam and that you shouldn't pretend to be a believer in this world because you did something wrong and nothing helps you except that Punishment death penaltry in the world, so you should kill the person who did this. But I was very young .. I don't know if this can be excused- I regret it so much .. with all my heart and I disgust myself for doing something like that ... As I said, I don't know why I did that. Also to my brother ... I don't know if he knows anything about it, because he was quite small but I'm ashamed and .I don't know what to do because the news from the UK made me panic ... please help me. Because I'm really desperate, can I really not go on living? Does Allah really say there is such a punishment? Thanks for reading this. Wassalam.

Mispronunciation in Dhikr and Kufr
I was doing Dhikr and I was saying Allahu Akbar and I put more emphasis on the L’s in in Allahu and not the A. I didn’t think anything of it until I saw someone ask a question about mispronunciation in Dhikr and if mispronunciation in Dhikr makes you Kufr. Does my mispronunciation make me a kufr?
