So my wife and I are recent reverts, however my wife's family do not know she is Muslim yet because my wife does not feel ready to tell them just yet as her family are more spiritual rather than religious. Yesterday we had a family gathering with my wife's family and her aunt brought out and was using tarot cards on everyone in the room for fun including myself. I never looked into tarot cards so I wasn't too sure if it was haram, but it did not feel like something Allah would be pleased about. So my wife's aunt done a tarot card reading on me but honestly it sounds very generic and I did not take any of it seriously as I seek Allah for guidance not these man made cards. Obviously my wife's aunt is not a real fortune teller but after going online it said if you go to a fortune teller or palm reader then your prayer would be invalid for 40 nights. These tarot cards did not say anything negative, if anything it just said things like 'trust in yourself' 'trust your partner' 'be one with nature and the universe'. Where I believe trusting in Allah alone is sufficient and everything in those cards don't mean anything to me. I just wanted to check if I unintentionally commited a major sin? And if my prayer is invalid for 40 nights? If I seek repentances and seek forgiveness from Allah my prayers would still be invalid?

Assalamu'alaikum, my friend invited me to a clubbing slash party for a fun night out. I currently go to university abroad and there are a lot of parties coming up. Yes, there will be alcohol and music, but I myself don't drink alcohol. Is that okay in Islam or is it haram? I kinda don't wanna go because I personally don't enjoy parties myself, but my friend really wants me to go and I don't mind actually. I'm just still conflicted whether it is prohibited or not. Can someone please help me and kindly explain? Thank You so much!

If you persist on a minor sin its elevated into a major sin that requires , tawbah? Right? It wont just go away with good deeds/from salah to salah, you must change. I've heard if you delay tawbah it is a sin, and the salvation from this is general tawbah. How do you do general tawbah? How can you it when it you should step away from everything that led u to **the sins** (not like making tawbah for 1 sin only) if u dont even remember some of the sins and it is unknown to you? General tawbah when it comes to the creation - how do you fullfill the 4th condition? Give back ALL their rights? Every single thing u might now know of? Ive been able so far to categorize it into *three* , These 3: wealth [stolen, taken, debt] psyichal harm [m×rder, blood money, qisas] Buhtan/gheeba/nameemah/ (lying to them/about?) Etc, **what more?**

Who is exempt from Jizyah in the Shafi'i school of thought?

As for people who seem to be insolvent at the end of the year, the sum of the poll tax remained as debt to their account until they should become solvent." Imam nawawi My question is what is the official Shafi school opinion on who is exempt from paying Jizyah.

Marrying a guy without my parents consent

I've been talking to this guy for a while. He's on his deen, respectful towards his family, a provider, kind to me emotionally and values my needs when it comes to mental related things (I go to psychotherapy cause of depression and heavy anxiety that causes other mental and fysical things). Either way, we want to get married but it's been difficult since he's from another country ethnically and so am I. The one I'm from is INSANEY against mixed marriages. Of course like always this goes mostly for the women. We aren't allowed to marry outside our culture, also in our culture people know each other world wide so gossip spreads around like wildfire. My mother is really toxic and manipulative. She's the biggest cause of my mental issues. She basically bullies me on the daily and uses things I've done against me everytime. She will use things she does for me against me as well, this could be financially or an act of service. Most of the times things you have to do as a mother. My dad is lazy, he does nothing but lay on the couch all day. My parents are (government officially?) divorced but are islamically still married. My older brothers were abusive towards me before and one is a junkie and the other one is slightly recovering. My other brother is extremely mean to me at times. All of my brothers have hit me before, one of them even multiple times. My dad cusses at my mom a lot and so does my mom. My mom will slut shame me infront of my brothers and when they do it she'll literally say "cause you are" when I confront her about their behaviour. I know they're never gonna agree to me getting married to the guy I want to get married to. But their reasonings would genuinely only be his ethnicity and that's it. They have no other reason considering in all aspects he's perfect and with him my deen only grew stronger and he pushed me far away from ending my life cause of my family situation. I can't go far with my life with them in it, it's the truth. He also lives in another country the guy but he came to visit some time. I'm not sure what to do, I want to make our relationship halal as soon as possible. His parents know about me and don't mind it at all. They only care about my deen. What do I do?

I play a game that temporarily holds ingame events for christmas etc and during this duration, i don't play the game and once the festival ends and all haram is removed, i play the game again. Problem is, the website that sells all these games records total playtime (meaning how many hours the game was played by players since its release which will include the hours i played also) and when a game has high playtime, the website recomends it to other people to buy and that also happens during these events when there is literally "Christmas event going on" is written or the game's store page on the website. So my question is, is this considered promoting their festivals even though i am not intending or directly doing it? Do you think i am just overthinking it and its a waswas?

Does this ayah include every instance of kufr/shirk including fantasy ones like a movie where there is a fictional god or a book about greek mythology? Or is it refering to explicitely denying or mocking a particular verse of Holy Quran? Also the ones has done it, has he commited a major sin or a minor sin?

Salaam I'm a 15 year old girl who goes to an islamic private school. Because of my mum constantly urging me to wear the niqaab I decided to wear it a year back. My older sister also started to wear the niqaab on from a young age and she has had no problems with it. Recently I've took it back off. This was because of many reasons, some being, I no longer felt like I was doing it for allah. Rather I felt like I was wearing the niqaab to keep up the reputation of my family. To not bring shame to my family which I think is absolutely ridiculous. Also I had no confidence when I was wearing the niqaab. I felt embarrassed and it was just something that I felt attracted more attention than necessary. Not only this I don't think my imaan was at that stage where I could take this huge step in covering my face permanently. Lately my mum keeps pressuring me to wear the niqaab again. Its come to the point where I despise wanting to wear it. It's not like I dress inappropriately. I wear the abaya or something that substitutes to it for example a long dress. I don't go out alone and I definitely don't have any male friends. Knowing this my mum is practically forcing me to the point where I have refused to go outside. My mum makes the situation out to be bigger than it is. She asked my dad to tell me and I still stood my ground. My father doesn't do or say much about it which I'm grateful for however my mum expects me to just obey her in this matter. I feel like it's oppression. My mum has stripped me off of my feelings, my own opinions and judgment. Can she really do this to me islamically? I'm old enough to know what is right and wrong. Wearing the niqaab is a life long decision that is personal. Right now I don't have much of a choice. I know for a fact that I'm probably going to wear it in the end. Not because I want to but because I'm being forced to. Despite this I still want to put effort in to try and get my mum to understand me. How can I do that? Is my mum sinning by doing what she is? I love my parents and I'm not one to disrespect them like this but standing for what I believe in is something I've learned from a young age.

Today I have a discussion with a Christian office colleague. He said that Prophet Isa is not from the blood line of Adam. Because when husband and wife interact with each other then in the result the baby is born. But nobody touches Mariam (A.I), and Prophet Isa born by the power of Allah. So he said, Prophet Isa is not from the blood line of Adam. That's why Christians say that the Prophet Isa is the son of God. My question is: Is it true that Prophet Isa is not from the blood line of Adam?

Isa(Jesus) is called the Messiah in the Quran in Surah Ali 'Imran 45 (3:45) , which directly translates to savior. However, if Islam rejects the idea that he saved the world from Sin as Christians believe, what is the purpose of this title at all? Some say that he was given this title because he came to show the jews the right path or because he was from God; however, if this is the case, then wouldn't that give every prophet the title of messiah? So why was Jesus the only one given that title? and what did he come to save us from if not sin? Also, if I may add, was he just a messiah to the Jews, or was it to the whole world?
