Is partying/clubbing haram?

Assalamu'alaikum, my friend invited me to a clubbing slash party for a fun night out. I currently go to university abroad and there are a lot of parties coming up. Yes, there will be alcohol and music, but I myself don't drink alcohol. Is that okay in Islam or is it haram? I kinda don't wanna go because I personally don't enjoy parties myself, but my friend really wants me to go and I don't mind actually. I'm just still conflicted whether it is prohibited or not. Can someone please help me and kindly explain? Thank You so much!
