So, I've lived in enough Muslim countries to understand that Friday and Saturday are, in fact, the closest thing there is to a weekend in the US (which would normally be Saturday and Sunday), but what I don't understand is why Muslim services are on Friday?
To be clear, I understand that Saturday is almost universally held as the end of Creation, and the original "Day of Rest." I understand that is why Jews (and some Christian denominations) celebrate their services on Saturday. I understand that in Christianity, however, the "Day of Rest" was celebrated on the day *after* the Sabbath, celebrating the Resurrection.
What motivated Islam to make Friday, rather than Saturday, its High Holy day of the week?

Assalamu alaikum, I had a fight with my father, left the house and moved to different location, then my father also moved to a different location. I want to patch up with him but he does not want to keep any relation with me. It has been many years now, I do not know his address and he is not receiving my phone calls, so there is no way left for me to contact him. So, if anyone of us dies in this state, the sin of Qata Ta'alluqi is on me or him?

Assalamualaikum everyone,
My question is very basic and i need some clarity.
I have an application in my phone which sounds out Allah O Akbar when it's time for a certain salat. But that is mostly a few minutes ahead of local azan. For instance the loacal moazzin sounds recites the asar azan at 5:15, but the app sounds at 5:3 pm.
I'm used to praying at home these days being unable to hear azan mostly an also because of the Covid. My question is, since my phone is always at my side, I'm always alerted to azan timings and following those is more convenient for me. Should i follow them or the moazzin?
Thanks and may Allah bless you all.

Now my question is at that time did Khadija (RA) see Jibreel's (AS) original form? Or did anyone among the sahaba or the Muslims see Jibreel's (AS) original form?

Is Allah a tyrant?

There are certain things in Islam that I don't fully agree with or find difficult to accept, simply because they defy logic and may appear at times too cruel and makes Allah a tyrant God.. for example:
**People to whom the true message hasn't reached, will burn in hell.**
Narrated by Ali ibn AbuTalib
> Khadijah asked Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) about her children
> who had died in the days of ignorance. Thereupon Allah's Messenger
> (peace be upon him) said: They are in Hell Fire, and when he saw the
> sign of disgust on her face, he said: If you were to see their station
> you would hate them. She said: Allah's Messenger, what about my child
> that was born of your loins? He said: It is in Paradise. Then Allah's
> Messenger (peace be upon him) said: Verily the believers and their
> children will be in Paradise and the polytheists and their children in
> the Hell Fire. Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) then recited this
> verse: `And those who believe and whose offspring follow them in faith
> We unite with them their offspring and I shall deprive them of naught
> in their work.'
> **Al-Tirmidhi 117**
This is just one of the many hadiths that I personally find really troubling... There are other hadiths which suggests, the polytheists' daughters who were buried alive in the reign of ignorance will also burn in hell.
To make my point more stronger let me quote another hadiths which suggests the same fate for people with same circumstances.
Narrated Anas:
> A man asked : where is my father, Messenger of Allah? He replied! Your
> father is in Hell. When he turned his back, he said : My father and
> your father are in Hell.
>
> Sunan Abi Dawud 4718
Even the prophet's father I-e Abdullah seems to burn in hell. I think its very cruel not to allow people to be given a chance to choose right from wrong and then condemn them to hell for being polytheists.
By these accords, people in hell will outnumber those in paradise by a huge proportion, simply because they were unlucky to be born to non believers and not able to grow old to change their faith.
Even though Mohammad pbuh himself was a polytheist at first and became a monotheist later exclusively because of the intervention made into his life by God. Has he been killed in his juvenile days or buried alive like the girls, he too would have been destined to go to hell as per these hadiths.
I personally find these hadiths very repulsive and cruel but may be I am wrong and the Quran might have a better more logical explanation to prove me wrong. If you know anything please explain.

**Takbir Tahrima** is a fard (obligatory) rukn of Salah. **But should it be said loudly? Or can it be said just by whispering (with very low voice) or silently (quietly)?**
For both "yes" and no "answer" I need proof.
**In case of "yes", what do dumb or deaf people do?**
----------
**Update**
Special case that I am concerned with is that **if Takbeer is said quietly (without making any sound) then Salah is not accepted.** I'd like to know if this claim has base for. The concern comes from the fact that **Takbir Tahrima** is fard (obligatory) rukn of Salah.

Non Muslims cannot preach their religion in a Muslim country but a Muslim should be allowed to do so in a non Muslim country. Also if the non Muslim country doesn’t allow Muslims to preach Islam there, Muslims have a right to start a war against the country.
Why is that so?
> Thus what is meant by the passage in Tafsir Uthmani, is that if a country doesn’t allow the propagation of Islam to its inhabitants in a suitable manner or creates hindrances to this, then the Muslim ruler would be justifying in waging Jihad against this country, so that the message of Islam can reach its inhabitants, thus saving them from the Fire of Jahannum. If the Kuffaar allow us to spread Islam peacefully, then we would not wage Jihad against them.

I was in my room right near my bed so I just decided to jump in my bed. One thing may have led to the next and I woke up after during Asr prayer. I think I may have been quite tired. They can shorten the URL of any website, which could be, for instance, a phishing attack page (page to steal users' credentials) or a pornographic website for that matter. For clarification, the short links generated in my website redirect to users' original links.
Could the entirety of this service be haram because of those minority of malicious user-generated links?
P.S. it's a renowned service, and widely used for many purposes like marketing to track campaigns...

Assalamualaikum, I recently heard a sheikh give a speech, he said Prophet (Saw) sent letter to Oman from Amr Ibn al aas, and the two kings: abd and jayfar converted willingly. I have found this to be referenced in Zaad Al maad by Ibn Qayyim. However after this the sheikh said that Amr Ibn al aas also tried to convert their father whose name was "Julanda" and apparently this was the conversation:
"The name of the King of Oman was al-Julanda, and news reached him that Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessing be upon him) had invited him to Islam. Upon hearing this he said, "By Allah who has guided me to the unlettered Prophet, if he commands something good, he is the first to do it, and when he forbids something, he is the first to avoid it. When he conquers he is not proud, and when defeated his is not aggrieved. He fulfils a contract and is true to his promise. I bear witness that he is a prophet", and sheikh said he accepted at hands of nabi (saw)
according to my research I cannot find anything of Julanda , I only find that his sons (abd and jayfar) converted willingly in many different books, How true is that conversation which I listed above, and if anyone could find reference would be appreciated,
