What is the hierarchy of sins?
Imam Al-Nawawi, in his *Minhaj at-Talibin,* writes: > A person suffering from hunger who finds a corpse, and at the same time eatables not forbidden but belonging to another, should, according to our school, eat the corpse, rather then take the eatables that do not belong to him. Imam Al-Nawawi, in his *Minhaj at-Talibin,* writes:
> A person suffering from hunger who finds a corpse, and at the same time eatables not forbidden but belonging to another, should, according to our school, eat the corpse, rather then take the eatables that do not belong to him.
This translation is bothersome because it at first appears as though he is speaking about human corpses. Within proper context however, it is clear he is speaking about animal corpses, i.e. carrion. However, this got me thinking about such a situation: in cases of absolute necessity, is it better to eat human corpses than to steal?
We know that in cases of necessity, the *haram* becomes *halal.* However, this ruling is confusing, because it is not as though everything that is haram automatically becomes halal; some things become *halal,* and other things stay *haram.* Al-Nawawi makes it clear that eating unlawful food is a lesser sin than stealing property. This seems to prove the existence of a hierarchy of sins, in which eating unlawful food ranks as a better deed than stealing someone’s property.
Is there a full hierarchy of sins? If so, where can I find it?

The Qur'an is protected by Allah:
> Indeed, it is We who sent down the Qur'an and indeed, We will be its guardian. -- Qur'an 15:9
This does not say the Arabic language is also protected. Consequently, it seems theoretical possible that, over time, the Arabic language could become extinct (see List of Extinct Languages ), or evolve into a language that cannot be used to read the Qur'an. In fact, I've heard that Qur'anic Arabic is already considerably different from day-to-day Arabic.
However, it seems odd to have a holy and protected book without the means to read and understand it. This suggests that the Arabic language might also be protected.
**Question**: Does Allah also protect the Arabic language?

Did the prophet (PBUH) pay Zakat, if yes in what form?

We were told that the Prophet peace be upon him lived an extremely humble and poor life. He hardly have food at home for the next day. This is what we were told. Now that I have researched, I find that the Prophet could not have been that poor because
1. Quran allowed the Prophet to keep 1/5 of the war booty
2. He had gifted the mount of Fadak to Fatima, which was captured in a battle.
3. He had many wives himself, which would be hardly possible, if he was such a poor man. Each wife lived in a seperate home (AFAIK). Apparently he gave a good amount of Mehr to his wives according to this answer
Now I do understand that there were times when the Prophet did not have enough resources, that was in the early and middle time of Islam. But in the last 3 years of his life or so he must have been well off because he was the ruler, he kept the largest part of war booty and People used to send gifts to him which he would accept.
My question, In what forms did the Prophet pay Zakat. Did he pay it little over the year or at once at the end of year? If he paid it at one time, does it give the estimate of his wealth?
My related question is, why dont we follow the Prophet in Zakat related issue while follow him in every other possible way? Could this be because he never paid Zakat?
While searching online, I cam across this similar question . May be one can highlight the authenticity of that answer as well.

Am I able to pray earlier before all the men pray? They use it at its designated times and I know it isn’t permissible to pray earlier but in this situation I’m really not sure on what to do.
If I go in earlier before all of them and pray is this allowed?
Or should I pray my rakat at home for all the prayers I missed?
Please advise

Salam alaikum. I have a question. I know that people who have never heard of Islam, or have only heard about it incorrectly, will be put to the test on the Day of Judgment. My question is this: why does a non-Muslim who perhaps received the message of Islam but did not distance himself from his original religion, but who behaved well in this life, go to hell, while instead perhaps a rapist (for example) who has never heard of Islam will be given a second chance? I know that Allah is merciful and does not commit injustice.

what is the rule for seperating words in Quran Arabic?
What is the universal criteria to separate words in Arabic of Quran? My computer program uses "empty space character" to separate words and count them. Is that "always" correct rule for this? For example is this "va huva" one word or two words in 9:129? وَهُوَ

Asalamulaykum Warahmatukahi Wabarakatuh!
I sometimes do actions that I am later unsure if they are sins or not, or do a haram action in a way that I do not know if I would be sinful or not (not going into specifics so that my actual question can be resolved).
What I want to know is if I should still do repentance even if I do not know if I’m sinful or not. And if I do, and the thing happens to not be sinful, is there any bad on me or of the like? Is there any good deed I gain?
Yes, I’ve seen https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/73500/what-to-do-when-you-arent-sure-whether-you-committed-a-sin-or-not , but the answer given seems to only relate to evil thoughts that come and go.

I wonder if that makes my Ghusl invalid, as the whole body has to be wetted for ghusl, but I didn‘t know about the glue until now.

this seems to be a good counter argument, and seems like a just distribution:-
