Assalamualaikum, is it haram to say that a non muslim or disbeliever will go to jahannam. I am pretty sure it's clearly written that a person who dies while not believing in Allah or associating partners with Allah will go to jahannam, so it's clearly writen there but I heard a story from a Mufti that, there was once 2 muslims, one was a person who would always try to do good deeds and other one used to do bad deeds, the good deed one said to the other guy to stop doing this sins, but that bad deed guy didn't stop and then the good deeds guy said that, he will go to jahannam, when they both died, Allah put the guy who did good deed in jahannam and one with bad deed in jannah, the reason why he put that good deed one in jahannam because in a way, he told that he can decide whoever goes to Jannah and jahannam and not Allah, so if I someone says something like this to a disbeliever and not a believer like in this story, will it still be a sin?

Lately, the government in UK has been lending out money to help business in crisis due to COVID-19 which when approved have one year to return without interest. It has created a perfect opportunity for people to get money even by mean of creating a fictitious business or creating an illusion of business hit by COVID-19. Some people argue that they are using the money for betterment as to invest in places where they feel it is needed the most e.g helping out siblings. Is it money gotten by the above-mentioned means Halal or Haram to use? some might argue that Allah has created opportunities to help us so why not help to make things better? IMO I feel it is haram because it is sort of forgery or making other (in this case bank fool).

this is my first post on this site so I hope it’s okay. Basically, a while ago my friend (Hindu) invited me to her place during a festival period for Hindus. I then found out we were going to visit the temple so I just thought I would go with them and they would pray and we’d leave but obviously I wouldn’t pray because it was more of a cultural thing for me to learn about their festival. However, it turns out the thing at the temple was actually a celebration for the festival and they were doing some kind of traditional dance and my friend asked me to take part so I did cause like I said, I was intrigued with the culture and what they were doing. I didn’t realise until later the thing they (and I) had been dancing around was an image of one of the Hindu Gods they believe in but I got too anxious to say anything and I continued dancing with my friend because in my mind, I didn’t believe religiously in anything they were doing and obviously knew Allah was and is the only God I believe in and worship. At the end of the night is when everyone in the temple started praying but I didn’t take part and when they all went to get a blessing from their God I didn’t go and even when one of the ladies asked me to I said no because that’s not the God I believe in. Looking back, I regret taking part and I know it was wrong but I’m worried that I committed shirk through my actions though in my heart I didn’t believe in their beliefs. I‘ve been making tawbah but I’m really worried and am hoping someone can calm my nerves :(

Assalamualaikum can someone help verify the authenticity of the following narration? : >‘No one reaches forty years in Islam except that Allah protects him from madness, leprosy and leucoderma. When he is fifty, Allah makes easy his reckoning. When he reaches sixty, Allah grants him repentance. And when he reaches seventy, Allah loves him and the inhabitants of the heavens love him. And when he reaches eighty, Allah accepts his good deeds and overlooks his sins. When he reaches ninety, Allah forgives his past and future sins, he is named ‘the prisoner of Allah on earth’ and is granted intercession (for forgiveness) for his family.’ References: Musnad Ahmad, vol.2 pg.89 and vol.3 pg.218 Musnad Bazzar, see Kashful Astar, Hadith: 3587-3589 Kitabuz Zuhd of Imam Bayhaqi, Hadith: 650-652 Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalani (rahimahullah) has mentioned seven Sahabah that have reported it. I actually am a student who study in school, most of the students in that school are non muslim, I have a friend there who always helps me with my work and gives me his notes whenever I need it and he is always kind to me, he has been my friend for 8 years, he never said anything to me about my religion or anything and infact he doesn't allow other bully students to tell me anything about my religion, we don't hangout after school but we just sometimes chat about notes and sometimes some other important stuff. I don't do haram things like wishing him on his religious festival or something like that. But I heard that it is haram to befriend a non muslim, so am I committing sin for this?

![In the name of Allah, Most Beneficent, Most Merciful](https://i.sstatic.net/URXEy.png) Islam follows a lunar calendar. Obviously, the month changes at the site of first crescent of the new moon and this happens only at sunset. It therefore implies that a date too should change at sunset. This methodology is followed universally in Islam. I could find this hadith that indirectly backs up this methodology: >### Sunan Abi Dawud (Hadith 2341) > >**Narrated Ikrimah:** > >Once the people doubted the appearance of the moon of Ramadan, and intended neither to offer the tarawih prayer nor to keep fast. A bedouin came from al-Harrah and testified that he had sighted the moon. He was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ). He asked: Do you testify that there is no god but Allah, and that I am the Messenger of Allah? He said: Yes; and he testified that he had sighted the moon. He commanded Bilal who announced to the people to offer the tarawih prayer and to keep fast. In another hadith (Sahih), The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) calls the 'Asr prayer *'middle prayer'* >### Jami' Tirmidhi (Hadith 3250) > >**Narrated Samurah bin Jundab:** > >"The Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'The middle Salat is Salat Al-'Asr.'" When the day is believed to be commenced with the sunset, the Maghrib prayer should be the first prayer and 'Asr should be the last prayer and the middle prayer should actually be Fajr. - Why then is 'Asr prayer called the *middle prayer*? - If it is a different context that the hadith refers to, what is that context and how does it make 'Asr the *middle prayer*? # UPDATE: I stumbled upon another hadith: >### Sunan Abi Dawud (Hadith 411) >**Zaid b. Thabit said:** > >The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to offer the Zuhr prayer in midday heat; and no prayer was harder on the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) that this one. Hence the revelation came down: "Be guardians of your prayers, and of the midmost prayer" (2:238). He (the narrator) said: There are two prayers before it and two prayers after it. In this hadith, the Zuhr prayer is called the mid-most prayer. It is also mentioned that there are two prayers before it and two prayers after it. Now again, two more questions arise. - How is this Hadith compatible with the previous hadith that mentions 'Asr as the middle prayer? - Two prayers before Zuhr means Isha and Fajr. Does the hadith also mean that the next date actually starts after Maghrib (ie. with 'Isha)?

So let's just say that I want to pray fajr namaaz for someone I care for who doesn't read namaaz. If I read 2 farz namaaz on behalf of this person, would the Salah be accepted for the person or is there no point of praying Salah on behalf of another person?

Following the theory that Allah would never use words randomly, has the scholars explained difference between these two words *when they are used in the above sense*? What is the difference *exactly*?
