To Allah is your return all together, and He will > [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ. > (Al-Ma'idah : 48) It says here that Jews, Christians and Muslims have their own way and law set for each to test them in what Allah has given them. Does this mean that each of them should stick to their own law? I am also convinced of this by the call "so race to good". Please explain. And more: what does "that over which you used to differ" mean? After all, the Torah and the Injil are also from Allah, and they do not differ from the Koran. And the past true Jews and Christians also did not disagree with Islam.

Ibn sina believes two things wich are problematic to me: 1.that there is emanationism of Allah(aj) in creation like the neoplatonics,thru his single eternal act of self knowing wich is eternal. wich to me would imply that creation is eternal.wich to me is problematic and it also implies we are Allah,doesn't it? this also is used by ibn sina to explain why a absolutely one cause can create a multiplicity of effects,as philosophers like Vasubandhu have criticized this to 'prove'that Allah(aj)doesn't or cannot be the creator of the universe. 2.that all possibilities are realized necasserily by Allah(aj) he bases this on his understanding of absolute Divine simplicity. what is the creed of the sufis in regards to this(emanationism of Allah in creation,wich would make it eternal) and do the sufis follow A'shari,maturidi or ibn A'rabi in Aqeedah?what is Ibn A'rabi's stance on this,and what is his account of Allah's simplicity,his tawheed and his role in creation? I do believe in divine simplicity because to me it means absolute tawheed and vice versa,and I also am from a trinitarian backround with a latin eternal modalistic model so I was led to islam by understanding Aquinas,and taking it to the conclusions that his catholic presuppositions prevented him from reaching Vis-a-vis the Trinity. but I heard that al-Ghazali spoke against absolute divine simplicity?if I believe in absolute divine simplicity am I still a orthodox muslim?or am I outside the pale of islam?

Salam 'Alaykoum, I am potentially Sayyid (Descendant of the Prophet), and I would like to know if there are any specific things to apply or recommendations for Sayyid people. I am thinking of having children (or many children), being polygamous, being even more careful with language etc. Thanks in advance

1) I study in Hindu school and there are kufr prayers in that school in the morning assembly i remained in their but i didn't take part in those prayers nor clasped the hands like theirs and u hated in my heart . Is this Shirk/kufr ? There is no Islamic school near me and my parents are forcing me to go to this school and i have not any option but to go to this school. And i also cannot left the school because I am in 10th if i left the school i have to study the whole two years starting from 9th and might be my father didn't get my admission done into another school. 2) I did not do that kufr prayers nor clasped hands like theirs but my teacher is now scolding me then i have said her that i have so much pain in my hands and in reality also I had so much pain in my hand.so my teacher said that give me a letter stating the problem and with the medical certificate (although i have) and to state that when I have been praying kufr prayers.I have almost 4 months left in this school. So is it right for me to send her application with medical certificate until i pass the school.Is there any harm upon me in future?

Salaam, my menses exceed 10 days I follow the hanafi and do ghusl the next day which would be the 11th day but I am confused as to when the next day I normally do ghusl at midnight which is the next day to this world is this the correct way or do I do ghusl during dawn which in islam is considered the next day or do I perform ghusl during maghrib as that is also seen as the "next day"? which is the correct way? when do i perform ghusl after the 10 days?

Salaam, I am a revert and I just took my shahada last month, so I’m still learning how to pray and I bought a prayer rug that has the transliteration of the prayers (it’s not written in Arabic) to help reverts learn, but speaking with someone they said you shouldn’t step on it because it has Allah’s (swt) name on it. The company says it’s allowed because the words are not written in Arabic, is there a ruling on this?

I was doing some research on the name of Prophet Jesus p.b.u.h. The wikipedia mentions: "There is a major discrepancy between the Hebrew/Aramaic and Muslim Arabic forms of this name, since the Hebrew form of this name has the voiced pharyngeal ʿAyin ע‎ or ʿAyn ع consonant at the end of the name (as does Christian Arabic يسوع yasūʿ), while the Muslim Arabic form عيسى ʿīsā has the ʿAyn at the beginning of the name." And: "Scholars have been puzzled by the use of ʿĪsā in the Qur'an since Christians in Arabia used yasūʿ before and after Islam". Can anyone guide me on this issue. I'm having questions thatWhy quran used 'Isa if christians of Arabia used to call him as yasu' and why quranic version has ع in the beginning etc.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, My question(s) requires an explanation of my situation. I apologize for not being able to put it in simpler words, ...... before i reached puberty i stole from my classmates and back then i justified myself like so: ("They were spreading lies about me throughout the classes claiming that I have insects -Pheidole ants- in my hair and that this contagious disease can infect them; when my hair was perfectly fine *aside from this they spread other lies about me and got a lot of people to avoid me* so it is fine if i do this to them because they have hurt me first _ thought my younger self" i know this is not fit to be a justification and knew it was not back then too but denied it like that), throughout the year i had moments where i would be overwhelmed by guilt and so i would return the stolen objects back to their owners in secret and without asking for that person`s forgiveness (now i know that i can never be forgiven if the person i harmed does not forgive me himself and i know how they will be getting back their right on the day of judgement) the problem is:- 1. i lost some of the things i stole and these objects never returned to their owners 2. as i mentioned before even if i returned most of the items i stole out of guilt back then .. i still never apologized for my actions and sadly now i can not even do that because i do not know where they are 3. Out of all the things i stole i have either lost or given back the items except for Only two objects from all these stolen belongings that are still in my possession until this very day, i do not know what to do with them because i have lost all contacts with their owners and a really long time has passed since then. Alhamdu llallah i never stole anything from anyone the moment i actually hit puberty though. Now that i have explained the situation, i would like to ask what to do with the 2 items that i still have in my possession? how do i repent? i know that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is the all merciful and will surely and in shaa allah forgive his servants when they seek his forgiveness, but what about all the people i did not apologize to back then (all of which i have lost contact with)? is there really nothing i can do to avoid what will happen to me on the day of judgement if i can not find the people i stole from back then and ask for their forgiveness now? Please help me out

According to prophet, 70,000 people from his ummah will enter jannah without reckoning, among them each will have 2 wives, what does it mean by 2 wives?? Does it mean that the 70,000 people will be only men not women?? What if a man has only one wife in this world then who will be the second wife??

Is it true that in the Maliki mazhab omission of the sunnah acts of the prayer requires a prostation of forgetfulness otherwise the prayer wont be valid is this true?

sorry if its a bit of a vague question I feel the title is enough but Just as an example Allah said: > Fight those who (do) not believe in Allah and not in the Day the Last, and not they make unlawful what Allah has made unlawful and His Messenger, and not they acknowledge (the) religion (of) the truth, from those who were given the Scripture, until they pay the jizyah willingly, while they (are) subdued. **[ Corpus Quran 9.29 ]** If you interpreted this verse only on the text, then you would identify all of the People of the Book as targets of Jihad and fight them All until they pay the Jizya whenever you are able to do so. But if you interpreted the verse in the context of revelation, then you would know it is revealed about the expedition of Tabuk against the Byzantines. you might interpret the command 9.29 only to apply 1. If there is a Powerful expansionist Kitabi empire next to the Muslims Or you might interpret the expedition of Tabuk as defensive because the prophet awaited the byzantines in Arabia, and then conclude 9.29 only applies in cases where a Kitabi nation threatens a Muslim Nation. And so on. My question is which is the correct methodology of Tafsir between interpreting the Quran solely from the Text and interpreting the Text in the context of the text’s Revelation

what should i do if i stayed up until after fajr and when the time came i didn’t make wudu until a hour passed so there was 1 hour left when i made wudu, i was about to pray my mom woke up and i talked to her while i was lying down in my bed so when she went to sleep i’m pretty sure i fell asleep and missed fajr because i can’t remember praying it, what should i do? (my mom doesn’t pray so don’t say why didn’t you pray with her)

I’ve made a really bad mistake recently and I’m terrified of the consequences of what’s going to happen to me. I’ve become severely depressed and the only thing that’s keeping me going is my belief in Allah and Islam. Please can you tell me a dua that’ll help me through this, one that’ll protect me from the consequences of this awful mistake I made that has ruined my life ,one that’ll help restore my peace of mind and one that’ll ensure everything is ok. I have found a statement that Imam Shafi'i would have said: ( سُئل الامام الشافعي رحمه الله تعالى : "كيف يكون سوء الظن بالله؟ قال: الوسوسة، والخوف الدائم من وقوع مُصِيبَة، وترقب زوال النعمة، كلها من سوء الظن بالرحمن الرحيم ) Translation: Imam Shafi'i, rahimullah ta'ala, was asked: 'What is the mistrust of Allah? He said: Waswas, constant fear of calamity, and anticipation of the demise of grace, all of it is mistrust of the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful.' --- On the internet, it is labeled to be a Hadith related in Hilyat al-Awliya with the reference number (9/123), but it is nowhere to be found in the book. Maybe it is a mistake from those who are quoting it, so I would like to ask if somebody has knowledge about this statement, it's source and authenticity?

Assalamualaikum Someone(a non muslim) pointed on these 2 verses: Quran 25:5 > And they say, “Tales of the ancients; he wrote them down; they are dictated to him morning and evening.” Quran 6:25 > Among them are those who listen to you; but We place covers over their hearts, to prevent them from understanding it, and heaviness in their ears. Even if they see every sign, they will not believe in it. Until, when they come to you, to argue with you, those who disbelieve will say, “These are nothing but myths of the ancients.” and told me these verse shows the story of previous Prophets was popular in arabia and it is possible that Muhammad (p.b.u.h) copied these into the Quran. How should I answer? Were the legends of former people really very popular among the Arabs? I heard our prophet was ummi and had no knowledge about sculpture which came before him but if these stories were common in arabia it's also possible for him to know this. Sorry to say,but this is affecting my iman.

"al umm al Shafi'i" is a book attributed to imam al Shafi'i. But everything in the book is "al shafi'i said: ...." so clearly he himself did not write the book. Some articles say it was dictated to his student. But that can't be true either because in many parts of the book al shafi'i is the second or third person in a chain. for example: أَخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ So who really wrote this book? thanks

Is it true that when a woman has her monthly period that she must give money (charity) for each day of bleeding? For example, if she bleeds for 5 days then she should give money to those in need for 5 days or give the total amount of 5 days in the first day. Is this true? Some people say it only applied to Ramadan and not the full year. Is this true? What does islam say about this?

what to do if you commit a sin in ramadan and then you feel so ashamed to Allah that you can't even face him. like I cant bring myself to pray and ask for forgiveness because I asked Allah for forgiveness multiple times for same sin I make. I don't know what to do and how to bring myself to pray again. Are not devils locked up in ramadan than why am I making a sin even though I read Quran and pray 5 times a day but I still Made that sin made me hate myself. now I am avoiding salah thinking will Allah forgive me again? and feeling bad and ashamed in front of Allah.
