Is there anything like lessening the fasting in terms of strong fasting / reward besides invalidation of the fasting?

In my locality, people have the belief that besides some actions that invalidates fasting there are some other actions too that makes someone's fasting weak or lessen in reward or if the fast without committing any sins is 10 then if you do those certain actions your fasting will go down i.e. 6/7 etc. depending on the merits of the action. By "some certain action" they mean some particular sins such as uttering bad words, slandering someone, quarreling, watching *blue* movies or pictures, stealing, sleeping much than the norms of sleep cycle, frequent spitting, forgetfully drinking water etc. So far these are the actions that they believe will make someone's fasting lessen or will make your fasting down grade in the scale of strong fasting to invalid fasting (in between).
Is this authentic according to the Islamic rulings?
I'll appreciate if you answer this Q. in a elaborate manner like quoting hadith, Quranic verses, scholarly statements, consensus, agreement and some other aspect regarding this.

A few years ago my brother introduced me to a game that I played a lot. This game was based on Greek mythology and in it there was a character (which you play as) which was considered a god astaġfiru -llāhᵃ. I was explaining to my brother something and I called him a god (astaġfiru -llāhᵃ). I don't remember if I said "in Greek mythology". I was really young back then and did not even know the word shirk and had no concept of it. This question just dawned on me a week ago. Also I never thought of him as a real god (astaġfiru -llāhᵃ). Did I commit shirk? Please if there is any hadith or Ayaat of shirk being forgiven please tell me in your answer.

Is it permissible to take a supplement that contains an ingredient derived from pork? Even if it’s needed as part of a treatment process?
I want to take an HCL and digestive enzymes supplement that contain pepsin. From what I read, pepsin is needed to restore HCL acid in the stomach but it's derived from a pig's liver. It helps with digesting protein, what does Islam say about that?
I originally used the supplement without knowing that pepsin was derived from a pig. I was able to eat eggs and anything without getting stomach ache and brain fog. After I found out it comes from pig, I stopped the supplement and found one that is derived from plants. The only problem is that I don't feel as good as the animal based enzymes. I still get brain fog and its preventing me from studying and this is my last semester in school. I honestly doesn't know what to do now. I can try other supplements but it would take time and money and I don't have both.
Is it halal to continue with a supplement that contains pepsin from a pig until I heal my stomach or is it haram?

As Salam o Alikum brothers and sisters in faith. I have been suffering from a medical condition for 6 years now. When it first started, I had to visit so many medical experts but their prescriptions failed to give the required results.
After 3 years of serious medication, I had to move on to something new that could calm my nerves. That thing was THC, particularly obtained from hash. It has been proven to be a good source of relief (All praise to Allah).
Now I don't need it often because I feel better. So if I keep using Hash rather for the recreational purpose, would it be Legal in Islamic shariah or not?

Is there any physical description of the Prophet while the Qur’an was being revealed to him? I mean his body posture, eyes open or closed, etc. Were there multiple witnesses with him when he was in the “trances”?
All I have found so far is:
A'isha:
" وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ فِي الْيَوْمِ الشَّدِيدِ الْبَرْدِ فَيُفْصِمُ عَنْهُ وَإِنَّ جَبِينَهُ لَيَتَفَصَّدُ عَرَقًا"
"I saw it coming down on him on an intensely cold day, and when it had left him his forehead was dripping with sweat."
[Muwatta Malik]
And:
“One day the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was sitting amongst us that he dozed off. He then raised his head smilingly. We said: What makes you smile. Messenger of Allah? He said: A Sura has just been revealed to me, and then recited: In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful. Verily We have given thee Kauthar (fount of abundance).” ... (sahih Muslim)
As-Suyuti in his itqan explained that what seemed to be a nap or a doz off for the sahaba or more exactly for Anas (who apparently saw this the first time), was apparently the kind of absence or state of absence that our Prophet experienced after a revelation based on ahadith like in sahih Muslim and sahih al-Bukhari (where this state was called الْبُرَحَاءِ).

A new medical discovery, a new engineering discovery, etc? I find it very hard to grasp why this didnt happen?
Update :
I believe some prophets did this, for example David did, Also Solomon invested heavily in building constructions of any kind of massive proportions.
The point is, Islam engulfs all aspects of ones life, **literally** all aspects, and not only spirituality, and it always preaches about scientific symbols everywhere, and using ones brain to see God every where in everything. So its only logical, it brings some crafts in that regard.

What is the meaning of the word 'spirituality'? What does it really mean? I understand that it could mean several things and is to be understood in specific context, but is there any general understanding of the term? Given a certain description of it, how can it be reconciled with the concept of a 'spiritual authority'? For example, in the context of political Islam and caliphate, there is difference of opinion related to whether the caliph is a temporal authority, spiritual authority or both.
Sometimes I feel as though 'spirituality' is used just for quasi-obscurantism, i.e. it purports to claim that there are some very real matters pertaining to a very real and *accessible* 'spiritual realm,' (perhaps to select few) but then hides every description of it. The purpose of it being - in addition to the superiority of the elite few - a lure of the occult that works to numb the inquisition of a critical mind.

Muslim doctors are allowed to look at all parts of the body when students and in the job, so why can't we look at such in a book perhaps in a diagram anatomically as photos would be a bit too far.
Sexual Positions. How are you supposed to know these (the Qur'an 2:223 says you can go to your wife in any position). Perhaps the book could have matchstick or cartoon type drawings of man and woman without being explicit.
I would be surprised if no such book exists.

If a person does not have proof that Islam is the truth, can he ever become a muslim?

Think about it this way. If there really was a proof that Islam is the truth, then everyone in the world would have been muslims by now.
Why are you a muslim? Do you have proof? If you think you have proof, it's likely that someone can refute your proof.
I don't have proof of Islam. Rather, I read the Quran. It didn't have anything that convinced me that Islam is the truth. Rather, when I read the Quran, it just "felt" like the truth. So for me, it's just an inner feeling...but not proof. Am I eligible to be a muslim even though I have no proof? Or will Allah say "I will not accept you as a muslim until you find proof"?
Even though I have no proof, if I keep following that "inner feeling", eventually Islam will start to feel like the truth to me. It will be a sort of "self-brainwash". It's how the mind works. If I keep telling myself that it's the truth, my heart will open up to it.
But nevertheless, why are you a muslim? I'm pretty sure you don't have any actual proof. If you're smart, then you should know that no religion can be proven. And since Allah is the all-knowing, I'm sure He knows this as well. So I believe that Allah does not expect you to find proof. If you just read the basics of Islam and feel like it could be the truth, this should be enough to be a muslim. Proof is not always easy to find. Why would Allah make you go through such a burden?

According to Hanafi jurisprudence, marrying Jews and Christians is Makruh Tahrimi. Makruh Tahrimi acts are minor sins. Why is it Makruh Tahrimi if the Quran allows marriage to Jews or Christians?
Source: http://www.myreligionislam.com/detail.asp?Aid=6279
A book called Taleemul Haq which is based on Hanafi views say that is is haram and not Makruh Tahrimi.
> The first type of makruh is close to haram, that is, **makruh tahrimi** (strictly abominable), for example quitting a deed that is wajib ( religiously obligatory). Not committing this type of makruh causes to earn thawab (reward for good deeds) whereas there is a possibility for the committer to be punished. (http://www.questionsonislam.com/node/13057)
