What punishment is given if a person commits adultery after divorce or during iddah?

But what if the person was married and got divorced, is it categorized as the first case or the second?
And also what happens if he commits adultery during his wife's iddah period (the 3 months period when he can still reconcile and can go back to the spouse), is it considered as the first penalty or the second?

Why did Prophet Muhammad perform stoning if it was not advised through quran?
As per following Hadith, Muhammad (sa) ordered and performed stoning as punishment for adultery. It was even performed to a woman. > [Sahih Muslim (17:4196)][1] - A married man confesses to adultery. > Muhammad orders him planted in the ground and pelted with stones. > According to the passage, the...
As per following Hadith, Muhammad (sa) ordered and performed stoning as punishment for adultery. It was even performed to a woman.
> Sahih Muslim (17:4196) - A married man confesses to adultery.
> Muhammad orders him planted in the ground and pelted with stones.
> According to the passage, the first several stones caused such pain
> that he tried to escape and had to be dragged back.
.
> Sahih Muslim (17:4206) - A woman who became pregnant confesses to
> Muhammad that she is guilty of adultery. Muhammad allows her to have
> the child, then has her stoned. The description is graphic: "Khalid b
> Walid came forward with a stone which he flung at her head and there
> spurted blood on the face of Khalid and so he abused her."
According to following Quran verses, punishment for adultery is 100 lashes or house arrest maximum.
> an-Nur, 24:2 The adulteress and adulterer should be flogged a hundred lashes each,
> and no pity for them should deter you from the law of God, if you
> believe in God and the Last Day; and the punishment should be
> witnessed by a body of believers.
.
> an-Nisa', 4:15 If any of your women is guilty of unnatural offence,
> bring four of your witnesses to give evidence; if they testify against
> them, retain them in the houses until death overtakes them or God
> provides some other way for them.
So, if stoning was not advised in quran, how come Muhammad (sa) made such decisions?

Would an adulterer(الزاني) or an adulteress(الزانية) be Stoned or Lashed, according to the Qur'an?
Some sources suggest that stoning is an Islamic prescription for adultery, but other sources suggest that it is not, and that only lashes are mentioned in the Qur'an. Due to the **Ayah [**[24:2]**][1]:** > The [unmarried] woman or [unmarried] man found guilty of sexual > intercourse - lash each one...
Some sources suggest that stoning is an Islamic prescription for adultery, but other sources suggest that it is not, and that only lashes are mentioned in the Qur'an.
Due to the **Ayah [**[24:2]**][1] :**
> The [unmarried] woman or [unmarried] man found guilty of sexual
> intercourse - lash each one of them with a hundred lashes, and do not
> be taken by pity for them in the religion of Allah , if you should
> believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a group of the believers
> witness their punishment.
Is this source a prescription for adultery or fornication? If fornication, then what are the consequences for adultery?

Assalamu alaykum, dear brothers and sisters.
The situation is:
A man and a woman have oral sex. They are not married to each other, but one/both of them is/are married to another person.
The questions are:
1. Does illegitimate oral sex of a married man or a woman require a Hadd punishment such as Rajm? Is oral sex (in both directions) equivalent to a sexual (vaginal/anal) intercourse in mentioned case?
2. Is there or What should be the punishment?
3. What rights do spouses of such individuals have? What can they demand of a cheating spouse by right?
These questions are purely technical. Please, be very specific in your answer and provide concrete sources.
P.S. Allah says (interpretation of meaning): "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and is evil as a way." [ Surat Al-'Isrā' 17:32 ]
Thank you for your time and attention.

Many years ago, I was living in a Islamic country and I was student of Islamic religion, because I wanted to be a Muslim by heart and by knowledge, I did not want to be inherited Muslim because my father was Muslim and I must follow him. I am now living in a non-Islamic country and so far, using the guidance of Quran and Hadith, I researched and found the logic behind every commandment of haram and halal. One thing that really bothers me and I could not find any answer is that stoning sculpture of Satan during Hajj Pilgrimage. It is just a sculpture. I see people stoning it. It somehow does not make any sense for me.
What is the logic behind stoning satan?
I do not know whether stoning satan is farz or sunnah or why it should be done. What could Muslim benefit from it. I would be grateful if you could elaborate on the logic and basis of this stoning practice.
Someone told me that this practice is just for the indoctrinating purposes. Same way like for dry ablution when there is no water, at least you do something so that you indoctrinate your self that at least you did something than nothing to became clean and do your pray. I get the point on the dry ablution but my brain does not work on the stoning of Satan

Which Islam groups are for death by stoning after adultery, and does this apply to every follower within the group in question?

I saw a video about one or two years ago which i cannot seem to find at the moment, in which there was a muslim speaker preaching about Islam to a bunch of children, whom were also obviously muslims. In the video the speaker asked questions, and this was one of them (Probably not accurate word for word):
"The Qu'ran tells us death by stoning is the right punishment for adultery, so whom of you in this room think that this is the right punishment for adulterers?"
Every child in the room as far as I could tell were pointing their arm to the ceiling.
Does every child in the room want to kill adulterers with stones, or am I missing something here?
Is there a specific group/groups of islam followers who would be more primitive and violent like this than other groups?

I found numerous examples on-line (links removed by masfenix. See revision history of this question if the sources are important to you), but they are inconsistent in details; in some videos the punished's hair is covered, but in others it is not. Similarly, some videos have the punished be dug into the ground, and others do not. **Question:** I am confused here:
I understand that the stoning comes from the hadith and not the quran (https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions/943/where-do-we-get-the-idea-of-beheading-stoning-and-hand-mutilation-in-islam/947#947) , but where does it say **how** the stoning should be done?
