asalam o alaykum. 1: i wanted to ask that on many islamic youtube videos i have heard that if you disrespect your parents, then all of your good deeds will be nullified and you will not enter paradise. is this authentic? because i don't think it is in the Quran and i don't know if it is an authentic hadith or not. 2: i tend yo be rude to my parents sometimes, i never do anything like scream loudly at them or insult them or anything, but sometimes i might raise my voice a little or argue with them, and it is not really a big deal since we all forget it in just a few minutes, but i am still afraid that this will nullify all of my good deeds. is this true? please help me for i am very confused about this topic.

As-Salam-u-Alaikum I am newly converted to Islam, to understand the Quran better I used the tafsir of ibn Kathir as a guide. In verses 25:61 tafsir say > (and a moon giving light.) means, shining and illuminated by the light of something else, different from the light of the sun But at verses 36:37-40 > As for the moon, Allah has decreed that it should pass through different phases. At the beginning of the month, the moon appears small when it rises. It gives off little light, then on the second night its light increases and it rises to a higher position, and the higher it rises the more light it gives -- even though it is reflected from the sun -- until it becomes full on the fourteenth night of the month Edit:My Question, Why tafsir gives two different Explanation about moonlight. is there something I am missing? and what is the meaning of nur which is used in 10:5? Sorry if the Question is not proper, I just want to know what is truth. Peace be unto you and so may the mercy of Allah and his blessings

From the Quran's perspective, why *good people* often *suffer* from awful *diseases* which are often *not related* to their *lifestyle* (ex: cancer)? Do pain and suffering among these *good people* is something covered somewhere in the Quran? Is there a reason to that since it could like some sort of *injustice*? Thank you.

In [Sahih Muslim 1657b](https://sunnah.com/muslim:1657b) it says, > But he (Ibn Umar) said: You are free. He then took hold of something from the earth and said: There is no reward for me even to the weight equal to it. I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who beats a slave **without cognizable offence of his** or slaps him (without any serious fault), then expiation for it is that he should set him free. Now, Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah 6/236 says > Anas reported: > Umar saw one of our maidservants wearing a veil and he flogged her. Umar said: Do not resemble free women My question is, is wearing a veil really a cognizable offense worth hitting slave girls for?

From Muwatta Malik >The best of what is heard about a slave-girl whom a man has intercourse with while he has a partner in her is that the hadd is not inflicted on him and the child is connected to him. When the slave-girl becomes pregnant, her value is estimated and he gives his partners their shares of the price and the slave-girl is his. That is what is done among us." Malik said about a **man who made his slave-girl halal to a man** that if the one for whom she was made halal had intercourse with her, her value was estimated on the day he had intercourse with her and he owed that to her owner whether or not she conceived. The hadd was averted from him by that. If she conceived the child was connected to him. Malik said about a man who had intercourse with his son's or daughter's slave-girl, "The hadd is averted from him and he owes the estimated value of the slave-girl whether or not she conceives

I want wanted to share this with the community as it sometimes wonders my mind >What is the least torment in Jahannam? The hadith of Numan ibn Bashir >I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say: the least suffering for the inhabitants of Hell on the Day of Resurrection would be for the man under whose soles would be placed two embers and his brain would boil on account of them. [Source/Sahih Muslim](https://sunnah.com/muslim:213a) The hadith of Samra bin Jundab >There would be among them those to whom the fire will reach up to their ankels and to some of them the fire would reach their knees and to some it would reach their waists and to some it would reach up to their collar-bones. [Source/Sahih Muslim](https://sunnah.com/muslim:2845b) If anyone could provide more information on this matter will be thankful. **NOTE:** the 2nd hadith is translated sorry I couldn't find it in English if anyone could provide it with the source will be much appreciated.
