What are the differences between "Ya Allah" vs "Allahuma"?
I have a little but not much knowledge of Arabic. Although **God** is called ``Al-Karim``, I hear the invocation ``Ya Karim``, but I never heard the invocation ``Ya Al-Karim`` or ``Ya-l-Karim``. I have a little but not much knowledge of Arabic.
Although **God** is called `
Al-Karim, I hear the invocation Ya Karim, but I never heard the invocation Ya Al-Karim or Ya-l-Karim. Same for other names of **God**: the definite article disappears from the vocative. Just as it would in English: May the Lord have mercy on us vs. O Lord, have mercy on us`
One big exception: `Ya Allah, which I've heard lots. (With definite separation between the end of Ya and the start of Allah, there are three different "a" sounds. I'm not talking about yalla as in let's go`.)
Now I see that when my English translation of the Quran has `O God, the original is Allahuma`. I don't know anything like this construction, where someone is addressed by tacking "-uma" at the end or something similar.
Though as I say, I'm not at all knowledgeable in Arabic and might easily have missed something. So is there a difference? Is `Ya Allah in the Quran and I missed it? Is Allahuma preferred? Is Allahuma` a unique construction?

I'd like to know whether or not it is halal to read a book to check if it has haram; I want to read a book in my house to make sure it doesn't contain anything haram if someone else wishes to read that book, would I be sinful if I found anything haram in there?
As a side note, these books are mostly only words, not images, so if they were to say anything haram, would I be sinful if I find it?

Assalam Alaikum.
I work as a laborer in a warehouse. My daily task is to physically pick and handle boxes containing food. These boxes are then placed on pallets, and later those pallets are transported by truck to stores for customers to buy.
- About 15% of the boxes I pick and handle **daily** contain **pork**. I don't physically touch the pork, but the box containing it.
- About 10% of meat products like beef, lamb and chicken are not labelled halal - status is unknown.
- The remainder 75% are non - meat products like vegetables and bread.
I have to pick and handle these boxes that contain pork, and I am unable to avoid this - it is part of my job and I have to do it and I do this everyday I am there. Handling pork is mandatory in this role. I am not in sales, ownership, or management. I am manual labor / logistics. **I am paid a wage for labor**, not commission or pork sales.
1. Do I have to leave this job? Is it haram? I do not want to do any other role in this company but this role.
2. Is my income haram? If so, how much? All of it or only the percentage of pork?
I am **not** in **necessity** or in dire need. I have money saved up and can live comfortably and find an alternative job.
If you can please help me with this and give me some guidance with references I will greatly appreciate it.
Thank you very much.

I believe in shahada but I doubt the authenticity of the Quran .
I am a good performer and go for salat when I visit my family but I do not believe in doing it otherwise .I do not fast in Ramadan
I do not know if I will ever want to do Haj.
I have recently met a Muslim woman
who I love a lot and she is also in love with me . I shared my doubts regarding my faith and now she is concerned that our marriage may not be halal .
I do not want to lie to her and want to know if our marriage will be a sin for her or a halal marriage.

According to Sunnis, Fadak was inheritance, in contrast to endowment. But Al Suyuti seems to take the latter view in his tafsir.
Al Suyuti comments on surah 17 verse 26:
“Abu Saeed al Khudri and Abdullah Ibn Abbas narrate that when the verse relating to giving rights to kindred was revealed, the Prophet called Fatima Zahra (as) and gifted the land of Fadak to her”. - [Tafseer Dur al-Manthur, Vol. 4, page 177](https://shiapen.com/wp-content/uploads/BlogMedia/tafseer_dur_almanthur_v4_p177-1642247339.jpg)

**Assalamu Alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh. I'd like to ask this question that's been bothering me for a long time already.
I was born Muslim, Alhamdulillah, but my parents are ex-Muslims. I haven't been a practicing Muslim as a child, but I still thought of myself as a Muslim. Later, a friend started introducing me more to Islam, and I did many research by myself, I started being a better Muslim and later learned how to pray, and now I pray all the daily prayers Subhan Allah. My parents know that I am a religious person, and they accepted me praying Alhamdulillah. And here's the main thing I'm concerned about: almost everyday, my school ends so late that I miss Dhuhr and Asr too, Astaghfirullah. I have tried praying at school, tried finding a private corner but it's extremely difficult. I have been thinking that should I talk with my teacher or my parents, but I'm also afraid they're gonna mock me etc, I don't have the courage Astaghfirullah. I feel so, so guilty even though I pray them when I come home and I come home when Maghrib time has already begun. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice? Jazak Allahu Khair!**

Asalam O Alikum
By grace of Allah i have a good business of my own. Many years ago one good friend of my who now lives in a different city wanted to start a construction business but he didn’t had enough money to do business. I had agreement with him that i will become sleeping partner in his business and invest money in his business.
He gives me profit return according to our agreed terms. He also does work of good quality of customers but recently i came to know from some people that he takes construction contracts by giving commission. But there is no confirmation of this since we both are in different cities and i never interfered in business since I’m already busy in my own work.
Currently I’m confused is the profit which im getting Halal or not? And also have no idea how to talk about this with him because this can also break our friendship.

I'm looking for an answer to the second part of the hadith, someone told me (I don't think he gave a source though) that eve was tricked by Iblees first and then she told Adam and they both ate, but then I find this guy saying Adam was tempted first, but I don't see a source which would be nice

Is it sufficient to rub an impurity under tap water if the stain is still visible afterwards?
I got an impurity on my trousers. I rubbed the place a little under water. Then I used it, but the stain of impurity was still visible, as the area was wet. It touched my skin. Is the trouser impure? Is the area of my body that it touched also impure?

Here it says that preservation of Nasab نسب (lineage) is one of the major goals, Maqasid al-Shariah مقاصد الشريعة of Islamic law and that falsification of lineage can be not only a major sin but kufra:
> Lineage (Nasab) is a foundational element of human identity and a
> crucial aspect of Islamic teachings, deeply intertwined with family
> structures, inheritance rights, and societal order. Islam places
> immense emphasis on preserving lineage, considering it one of the five
> fundamental objectives of Islamic law (Maqasid al-Shariah). The Holy
> Quran and Hadith explicitly prohibit altering, concealing, or falsely
> attributing lineage, classifying such acts as major sins (kabira) and,

> directive to uphold the integrity of lineage. Prophetic traditions
> reinforce this by warning that falsely claiming another lineage
