Praying beginning or end has different reward?
When someone prays in the beginning of the time is the reward different than the middle or end of time? For example, if dhuhr prayer is at 11:30 and asr prayer is at 3:00. I prayed dhuhr at 2:45, do I get the same reward as the one that prayed it in the beginning of dhuhr prayer time?

I don't intend to commit kufr or I don't intend to call he / she as kafir , and also I don't know the meaning of ahlu sunnah it was surely unintentional , at that time I thought ahlu sunnah was some course for becoming scholars or something Is it considered as kufr please mention it is kufr or not Please answer as soon as possible please

I performed an analysis on the hadith in Bukhari and came to the conclusion that most hadith (over 90%) are Gharib (single independent chain). I then learned that a Gharib is not necessarily weak because the conditions for a hadith being authentic do not take into consideration the number of independent chains of narrators. I also learned a little bit about Imam Shafi' and his debates with Ahl ul Kalam, Mu'tazila etc. regarding the authority of Ahad hadith. I am curious to know if someone can summarise the opinions of past scholars on Ahad (Gharib, Aziz, Mashur) hadith being authoritative in fiqh. It seems odd to me because in general Islam requires at least 2 witnesses for most matters. So what is the Quranic evidence for accepting a hadith by a single narrator? I say Quranic evidence because if we were to use hadith it would be circular reasoning.

I haven't celebrated anyone's birthday in years, someone has decided that they want to have a surprise birthday celebration for a family member. I have read that birthday celebrations that are celebrated yearly are not permissible but since I have not attended a celebration in years I don't know whether or not attending this one is permissible. Would giving gifts and having cake with candles make it haram? I know that a lot of the people attending the celebration hold a lot of birthday celebrations but I don't. The only reason I was considering attending is to bring about closeness with family who I haven't seen in a while. Please support any statements with evidence.

Verse 6:161: > Say, "Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path - a correct > religion - the **way of Abraham**, inclining toward truth. And he was not > among those who associated others with Allah." Why mention the "the way of Abraham?" I thought all the prophets followed the same path. Does this mean, for example, the path of Nuh (AS) is different from Abraham's (AS) path? Nuh (AS) message in the Quran is not different from that of any prophet.

In the book "Fadhael al-Quran" written by Abū ʻUbayd al-Qāsim ibn Sallām (a scholar from the Salaf), Ibn Umar says: > Verily among you people one would say that he has found the Quran whilst he is > unaware of what the total quantity of the Quran was, **because most of > the Quran has been lost rather one should say that verily he has found > the Quran that has appeared.**’ > > ~ Fadhael al-Quran - Volume 2, Page 135 I know, this book is not that much popular but the authenticity in Islam is not measured by book's popularity but Isnad & the Isnad of the above quote is 100% authentic as the chain of narration is: > Ibn Umar -> Nafi -> Ayub -> Ismael bin Ibrahim. All these narrators are reliable according to Ibn Hajar and al-Dhahabi. - See **Al-Kashif, vol. 1 page 242 by Dhahabi** and **Taqrib al-Tahdib, vol. 1 page 90 by Ibn Hajar** for Ismael Bin Ibrahim's reliability. - See **Siyar alam alnubala, vol. 6 page 15 by Dhahabi** and **Taqrib al-Tahdib, vol 1 page 116 by Ibn Hajar** for Ayub's reliablity - See **Al-Kashif, vol. 2 page 315 by Dhahabi** and **Taqrib al-Tahdib, vol. 2 page 239 by Ibn Hajar** for Nafi. So: --- How do we explain the saying of Ibn Umar?

In the Quran 26:214, we read: > And warn your closest kindred. > > ~ [\[Source\]][1] But in Bukhari 4971, we read: (It is weird that sunnah.com has left out the later part) > When the Verse:-- '**And warn your tribe of near kindred & the group of sincere among them**' (26.214) was revealed. Allah's Messenger () went out, and when he had ascended > As-Safa mountain, he shouted, "O Sabahah!" The people said, "Who is > that?" "Then they gathered around him, whereupon he said, "Do you see? > If I inform you that cavalrymen are proceeding up the side of this > mountain, will you believe me?" They said, "We have never heard you > telling a lie." Then he said, "I am a plain warner to you of a coming > severe punishment." Abu Lahab said, "May you perish! You gathered us > only for this reason? " Then Abu Lahab went away. So the > "Surat:--ul--LAHAB" 'Perish the hands of Abu Lahab!' (111.1) was > revealed. > > ~ [Source 1 ] and [Source 2 ] I can't find the reference but Ibn Abbas testified to the deletion of this part in the verse 26-214.. So, the question is: -------------------- Where did the later part go? I know someone will say, this was abrogated or these are ahrufs etc & that is fine but I need authentic evidence from the **Salaf** whether this was abrogated or these are ahrufs. Thank You.

When someone greets me with "salaam," is it more proper to respond "salaam," or should I respond "as-salamu alaykum"?
I have some Muslim friends and they use different forms of greeting, so I am a little confused. What would be a proper response to "salaam"? When should I use the full "as-salamu alaikum"? When should I reply with "wa-alaikum-salaam"?

Does receiving a hadd in this world cause the sin to be forgiven in the hereafter?
I have heard from somewhere that the hudod punishment being carried out on you in this world acts as an expiation for the sin committed (e.g. let's say your hand was cut off, then that would mean that Allah would forgive you for stealing). Is this true and is this the view of most scholars?

However, in dire circumstances, is it permissible for a person to take a false oath on the Quran to preserve his/her honour and the honour of his/ her family for a mistake that He/ She made in the past? Meaning if a person was to take a false oath saying He/She was not involved with anyone in the Past (a past mistake which He/she has sincerely repented for), would that be forgiven?
