Is death the sort of thing that is ever now?

Please don't move this to the Philosophy stack unless absolutely necessary.
My personal belief in an afterlife is based on:
1. Being indefinite about "what is now?"
2. I assume that "my death" is semantically precise in some way, it's clear what we all mean by that
3. Linking these two, in terms of the impossibility of vague identity.
Some people might object to my version of time or death, so while I am more interested in understanding 'vague identity', I cannot yet get started rhetorically.
What's going on here? Which of these moves are allowed in the language game?

Why do I remember my past life if ghosts exist?
I'm a young woman who questions a lot in life. A couple of years ago I started to get this weird feeling as if i wasn't meant to be here. It's hard to describe what i mean by that. I'm a young woman who questions a lot in life. A couple of years ago I started to get this weird feeling as if i wasn't meant to be here. It's hard to describe what i mean by that. It's as if I'm living in a dream 24/7. Not too long after this feeling started I got these weird dreams that felt so real that i woke up with the last feeling i had in my dream. In my dreams I'm a young Asian man (teens to early 20's) and most of the time I'm at some sort of red bridge, but occasionally I'm in a forest. My most recent dream was the forest one. I remember strolling through the forest with a feeling of overwhelming sadness. In this particular dream i get attacked by three men, i think they were wearing black and they had a face cover on the bottom half of their faces. I distinctly remember the feeling of being slashed with some sort of knife of the back of my lower right arm, probably about half way between the elbow and wrist. After that i get attacked more and then my vision goes black and the dream ends. I woke up the day with pain in the same area that was cut in my dream. After this dream I started to remember things, memories that weren't mine... One dream consisted of me as the Asian man hanging out with another Asian man around my age, i don't want to say that we were lovers but it felt that way. I also remember what he looked like, as well as what i looked like. I don't really remember my name or his name, but i have a strong feeling towards a name Junseo, it makes me think that this was at least an alias of my if not my real name. I also feel great anger about the events pertaining my death. I have hopes of reuniting with my lover, even if I'm not longer me. This is the only memory i have of him. I drew myself so that i could remember.
That being said i also lived in a trailer as a kid, it was definitely haunted. I would hear footsteps when nobody else was home and i would hear voices talk to me at night while i was in bed. There was a man who would watch me sleep, and the one day he wasn't there a four legged creature jumped at me from the corner of my room. I refused to sleep in my room from that day on and the voices stopped whispering to me at night and i never saw the four legged creature again. If i remember my past life then why are ghosts real? Are ghosts simply people who never got reincarnated or is it deeper than that? I am not a religious person, so i'm simply trying to come up with a logical reason. Is my mind simply playing tricks on me and or am i just insane?

Love in the spirit world
I know that according to Buddhism there is not a self and emotions are something by themselves, a condition, an aggregate. Let's say that after we die we go to a spirit world, and we find love, not **our** love but **some other** love. What is that? An aggregate too? Or is there someone feeling it?...

I’m wondering to what extent belief in some form of afterlife is necessary for one to be considered a Buddhist. Specifically, are beliefs in otherworldly realms such as svargaloka (heaven), pitriloka (spirit world), and naraka lokas (hell), as well as the idea of rebirth or reincarnation, central and non-negotiable within the Buddhist tradition?
Is it possible to identify as a Buddhist while setting aside these cosmological elements, perhaps viewing them symbolically or metaphorically rather than literally? Or are these beliefs foundational in such a way that rejecting them would place someone outside the bounds of what can meaningfully be called Buddhism?

I have managed to visit him when I'm sleeping (dreaming) and when I see him everything is normal until I have to wake up and we are both saying how much we are going to miss each other because we know when I wake up he won't be there anymore.
This isn't every night I have lucid dreams about a lot of places. I would really love to see him more and possibly just cross over if I can to be with him all the time.

Talking to dead loved ones
💚Could talking with dead loved ones be in line with the proper practice of the Buddha? If proper practice permits talking to dead loved ones, then what is the proper way to talk to dead loved ones and/or the improper way to talk to dead loved ones?

1. Can we be reunited again in the next life? Can she be born as my daughter/son & Can I be born as her son/daughter again?
2. After my death and before the new birth, can I get to meet and talk with my mom (as the Tibetan book of the dead and many NDEs suggest you can meet the loved one after death)

Why does Buddhism use the word "realm" when describing one of the different races?
Why is this word used? It's very confusing and makes it sound like you are reborn into a world and not as a different race of being or a human again? Like saying "rebirth in the human realm" to me could sound like I am reborn as an animal and live among humans.
Why not use the word races or species to described the 6 options of rebirth?

Or how to stop thinking about something in general when you don't want to? For some reason I can't be equanimous with metaphysical questions. They run through my head like there's no tomorrow and nothing more important than that. It's quite annoying. Would noting help?

One of the lessons Buddhism teaches is that everything is impermanent. Our thoughts, our feelings, our emotions, our bodies, our life. Everything. We are surrounded by death. We are mortals. There is an end to this.
However, Buddhism also has the concept of rebirth. Karma follows you not just in this life but in your next. It's also said that the Buddha gained the ability to recall his previous lives. This to me implies some sort of a soul (for lack of a better word), condition, or consciousness that is not impermanent. After you die you get reborn. There is an "you" that transcends the current (impermanent) existence.
I guess, my question is, is there some sort of a soul, consciousness, or a condition, that is not impermanent? When one reaches enlightenment (nirvana) and stops the cycle of rebirths, what happens to them?

But do they talk about "insides" at all?
I'm asking because surely everything with a beginning has an inside, but death, which must occur and so begin, can't have an inside in at least some senses, at least supposing that there is no after-life.

What is the ultimate goal of Buddhism? Why should a person practice Buddhism, what will it provide to him? Various religions have various goals. For example, the ultimate goal in Christianity is everlasting life in Heaven through faith in Jesus Christ, while in Islam the ultimate goal is Jannah (Paradise). In Hinduism the ultimate goal is moksha, which means becoming one with the Brahma after death. But what is the ultimate goal of Buddhism? Is it nirvana? If it's nirvana then it doesn't seem to be a very great goal. The goal to achieve nirvana is basically dying and never coming back, because Buddhism believes in rebirth and the cycle of samsara, which it believes is filled with sorrow and suffering. Hence to put an end to this constant cycle of sorrow and suffering one should try to achieve nirvana. Am I correct??
