Assalamu aleikum,
I want to know if my nikkah was valid.
I had a nikkah with two witnesses. We had a sheikh with us who also acted as my wali because I don’t have one as I’m a revert woman. I later found out that one of our witnesses didn’t pray nor do obligatory acts of worship like fasting. I had my doubts about this man but I tried to think well of him. My husband spent a lot of time with him and a year after our nikkah my husband told me he has never seen him pray during years of knowing this man. Our other witness prayed occasionally.
So my question is was our nikkah valid? Should we do our nikkah again?
