I know that Allah sends Kafirs to hell according to many verses. 1) But can everyone who is said to go to hell according to Islam be considered/assumed to be a Kafir? 1) Also, do non-Kafirs go to hell? For example there are many verse saying that idolators are destined for hell. **In some cases some group/category people may be said to be destined for hell and one might not find verses confirming they are kaffirs.** **In the above case, can it be assumed that all people mentioned to be destined for hell in these verses are kaffirs?**

The following situations describe when the life of a kafir is sacred and forbidden to take. I'm curious about Islam, this is one question that's is not clear for me, based on what I read.

Many scholars opine that to kill a person there are very limited reasons in Islam. That's why they claim it to be the religion of peace. But some people point out that it is mentioned in Islam to kill *Kafirs* too. The word "Kafir" I am referring to means someone who does not believe in one God. I am new to this topic. I have heard this from many people and think this is right place to ask.

I checked 2 mushaf and internet, and as far as I can see, [3rd ayah](http://quran.com/109/3) and [5th ayah](http://quran.com/109/5) of [Surat Al-Kāfirūn](http://quran.com/109) are exactly the same. On the other hand, 3rd ayah translated as; > Nor are you worshippers of what I worship and 5th ayah translated as > Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship. What is the cause of the difference in translation of these two ayahs?
