Considering joining US Army

I just dropped out of college. Went to therapist and psychiatrist got diagnosed with depression. Don’t have any skills. Not sure what job I can even get now. During high school I worked hard to get into top 10% to get guaranteed admission to most colleges in my state (TX). I had told my parents what I wanted to study, which college I wanted to go to, etc. I had hoped to join a lab in that college and contribute to some meaningful research. But come graduation, my father stopped me from going. He didn’t give me a reason as to why. I asked him again about a week ago, and he still didn’t give a reason. We’re well off and money isn’t an issue for us, so he couldn’t even argue that. I had to go to a bad college close to home. It’s a commuter college, so didn’t have much to offer in terms of clubs, school spirit, etc. I was studying Computer Science, and the coding assignments that they would give us were just fill in the blanks. Haven’t properly learned coding. I’m just really upset right now. Sorry if this makes me sound entitled. I had worked my hard in high school to get into a good university and then wasn’t allowed to go. I got into an argument about it with my dad a week ago and it got to a point where he said I’m not his son anymore. We haven’t talked to each other since. I’m not sure what to do now. I’m thinking about joining the military, but have problems with that morally, and especially what the current administration is doing. I have been applying to jobs for the past few weeks to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. but haven’t heard back. Only thing going for me right now is doordashing/uber eats. I’m thinking of joining the army as 68P Radiology Specialist. I’ll be working in a military hospital/clinic setting in mainland US. During active duty I could use tuition assistance to get an associates degree and maybe even bachelor’s. And after 4 years I will be out and can use the GI bill for grad school or med school if I can get in. If I don’t join I don’t know what else I’m gonna do. I’m having a hard time finding even a minimum wage job right now.
