What hair length am I allowed to keep as a girl?

I'm a girl. How long must I keep my hair? What is the minimum length required? My hair grows fast and my mother doesn't let me cut it, saying that women must keep their hair long. I don't mind the long hair but it gets difficult handling it when it reaches my knees.
