What is to be done if a mother forbids a daughter from wearing the hijab?

I'm 18 years old and i want to wear the hijab, but my mom didn't let me, whenever i ask her about it she ignores me and telling me to focus on my studies. According to Islamic teachings Should i disobey her to wear the hijab without her permission?
