What should a Muslim do in a country where he is forced to commit Shirk?

A Muslim lives in a non-Muslim country where he is forced to participate in non-Muslim cultures that amount to Shirk (e.g., idol worshipping , saying *Namastey*, chanting *Jay Sri Ram* , hijab is banned , etc.), and otherwise he will either be killed or be a pariah. He is poor and cannot leave the country. What should a Muslim do in this case?
