In the Gospels, Jesus repeatedly criticises and even directly confronts the leaders of Judaism about their religious teachings, so he clearly was very much opposed to the religion of Judaism.
He also directly contradicted some of the fundamental laws of Judaism, including specifically the need to seek vengeance on anyone that wrongs you:
> “*And thine eye shall not pity; but life shall go for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for Foot.*” — Deuteronomy 19:21
> “*Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.*” — Matthew 5:38-39
As well as the need to worship Yahweh every sabbath (on pain of death):
> “*Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.*” — Exodus 35:2
> “*And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath*” — Mark 2:27
And according to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/613_commandments) , Maimonides identified 613 commandments in the Old Testament; all of these were issued by Yahweh to the Israelites apart from the first one, which was issued by God to the race of humans he had created (Genesis 1:29 - "*God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth*"). Jesus clearly found this plethora of laws highly controlling and sought to replace them all, saying that there were really only 2 commandments, both of which were simply based on love (not worship):
> "*And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.*" — Mark 12:29-31
In Mark 14:58, Jesus openly proclaimed that he would destroy the Temple in Jerusalem where Jews worshipped Yahweh, replacing it with a figurative "temple" (ie, the philosophy of Christianity):
> “*We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.*” — Mark 14:58
While he also made clear that he had no intention for his actions to instigate revolution or anarchy:
> “*Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.*” — Matthew 5:17
So Jesus publicly criticised and opposed the teachings of the leaders of Judaism; superseded all of the laws that had been issued to the Israelites by Yahweh; specifically contradicted Judaism's two fundamental laws of vengeance and worship; and openly declared that he intended to destroy the Temple in Jerusalem where the worship of Yahweh was practised.
So was Jesus's primary objective to liberate the Jewish people from the worship of Yahweh, ie eradicate the religion of Judaism?
